NOTE: I couldn't find any threads about this, but if it's a repeat, my apologies.
This thread obviously asks whether the 2011 Avengers movie could have an alternate title. As of now, the working title is "The Avengers", which I think they should and will keep.
However, this may be the only chance for an Avengers movie to be called "Avengers Assemble", since it will most likely be about how the Avengers first form. It sort of mirrors the Batman Begins title in that way. A similar title in this vein would be "The Avenger Initiative".
Another thing is that "The Avengers" is also the title of a popular old british TV show that was recently adapted to film in 1998 with Uma Thurman, Ralph Fiennes, and Sean Connery. "The Mighty Avengers" or simply "Avengers" would disambiguate the two.
I have a feeling that most people will shoot this down and say "Just stick with 'The Avengers'." I just want to give a voice to those who possibly think otherwise.
edit: whoops, that should be "Mighty".
