i can more or less agree with that, even if it is a discussion for another thread.

it's true, though. who are we to pick apart tom cruise or oprah or dr. phil or fallout boy. do they suck ass? maybe, according to some. but then, some people think cucumbers taste better pickled.

different strokes make the world go 'round. and honestly, like you said, no one here has done anything even remotely as accomplished as some of these artists, so...

but yeah, in avril's case, she totally ripped off that song, and deserves no credit for it. only ridicule.

I could bring up I've played guitar for 7 years and drums for about 3, and based on that her nor her band are very good musicians, but that woud have been overkill.

You said that a person should have some knowledge of the feld they are criticising. I said I was criticising a part of the entertainment field, which everyone has knowledge of. Everyone on this planet knows what entertains them and what doesn't. By definition, that makes everyone a critic of what aspects of the entertainment industry entertains each individual.

That said, the only way your post would make any logical sense was if you mean 'paid' critic, because while everyone with an opinion is by definition a critic, not everyone is a paid critic.
