I'm just here to ask you whether you would help me with my project.

All I want you to do is to view my film and then fill out the questionnaire below. Feel free to criticise what you see, but don't rip the **** out of completely. remember, these questionnaires are constructive criticism which I can relate back to for my overall evaluation.

It's only a rough cut and there are some sound issues and there are no credits..but apart from that everything is there.

Also, I know you're fan boys and will probably tear it apart, but I wanna hear constructive criticism...I know it's not the best film in the world...but this'll help me out big time.

Hey, I've just done a Media degree and I can safely say if you did something of that quality here, you'd do really well.

I did notice when he reaches out for the cake the hand swaps from one to the other, but that's just continuity.

I liked it. It tells of one man's struggle to give in to temptation and desire... for a bit of cake.

Really well shot, cohesive plot and easy to follow. Original too.

What did you not like about the film and why?
It's all good. I think voiceover could be worked on, it seemed a little muffled.

Was the plot of the film understandable and if not how could I make it more understandable?
It was very clear. Simple narrative yet made enjoyable and understandable.

What is the moral of the story and is it presented well?
I'm bad at morals...comes from having a cruel mind... umm... give in to what the heart really wants and everybody suffers but in the end the right thing is there for you!?

How well did you connect with the main character and what exactly made you relate to him?
We all love cake. I don't blame him for listening to his inner voice


Would this film make you want to watch future projects of this particular director?
Oh definitely, it was a high quality film, anything later will be to a great standard. Keep it up.

Hungry.

Very nicely chosen, none seemed out of place, really set the moments well.

Should be fun! I only made films a couple of times in uni cos mine was more varied with the subject but film production is just great.

Yeah at the moment I do a bit of everything but I mainly like very practical stuff like radio and video...I don't mind essays but lets say I am NOT a fan of photoshop. hate the thing.

Argh I had to use Photoshop for a design module in my first year
We had to use iMacs... we all spent the first class trying to work out how to turn the stupid machines on

you've definitely got great technical skills, i actually wanted to o keep watching it because it was well made and intriguing but I'm actually not sure what the hell just happened there.

visual style, strangely funny, the music, that weird looking dude.

first I wanted to know why there were notes everywhere but then assumed it was just symbolism or something, not meant to be literal .cool. same goes with the carrots and cake I assume. but then i got confused by the end with the knife bit

so his parents control him and his brother tells him grow up, and then he just happens to see a cake in the store so he eats it and feels good. so far so good. Then he feels bad for breaking rules (outerspace song) and says I won't give in again? but then he eats another cake and school, and he can't stop,
he almost goes crazy and he's fallen in love with cake? wtf

EDIT: just watched the end again, okay
he thinks he thinks his brother is a cake, and he kills him and eats him. ???? is that it? okay I had to watch it twice but it makes more sense, cool ending if it could be clearer cos most people will only watch it once

um, don't be a gimp? take what you want. but watch out or you might eat too much cake?

his head is fu*ked up! and he just seemed like your average bloke you could relate to. the frozen expressions on his face were good. underplayed but quirky acting

most student movies suck but this one was kinda cool. yes, but you should make more things clear. altogether, judging from this if you keep working at movies you'll probably do something awesome one day.

What did you like about the short film and why?
I liked the use of different angled shots. The editing was nicely done, especially near the end.



What did you not like about the film and why?
I didn't dislike much about it. Whilst I said the editing was good, perhaps the final cake scene could've been different. You seemed to build up all this tension when eating that large cake, and you only cut one slice. Maybe cutting a few more slices, and speeding up the shot could've had a bit more of an affect.



Was the plot of the film understandable and if not how could I make it more understandable?
Definitely. You could easily tell what was going on.



What is the moral of the story and is it presented well?
Don't eat too much cake. Oh, and try not to get too messy whilst eating it. Seriously, how can you do that? I can never get that messy with chocolate.

I related to him, in a sorta sense...that I love to eat junk. I guess.

Yeah, this seemed pretty entertaining. You've got some talent, with those shots.

Btw, Amazing Lee...a few things;
Do you use avid software for editing that? In my ND multimedia course, I'm having to collect shots for a 'film intro'.
And that cake, I swear it's from Morrisons or something. It's a good cake.

I liked the editing and the way the music was cut to the video, also been a fan of music to video syncs and it was pulled off pretty well in parts where it was used

I saw a tri-pod leg!!!!

It was but only when i turned the volume up, it seemed the intro was over swamped by the music (i think the music was a tad over powering at that point needs turning down!!)

I have no idea. Having to much of a good thing is bad for you!

I love chocolate and feel the need to eat it all the time, but i dont or i will end up fat why is everything so bad for you so good!!!!
