Dear Lord, you and @InCali are like Londo and Adira Tyree.

Now, I will say this about the jerky dispute and as Lord High Arbiter of the Red Meat, not all parts of the the cow are meant to be served rare. Many are better medium or well done, etc. London Broil is one of them.

Now if you intend to continue to pollute my sacred B5 thread with your petty dispute...

I used to have a better hairdo than Londo....now I'm not so sure. I'm sure I'll understand your reference to the Pak'ma'ra in due time. At the rate I'm going, it'll be pretty soon.

I do have better hair than her!!! This is preposterous!!! :p (I just needed to show off my new word).

Yeah I thought I’d already seen it but I just finished Babylon squared and legacies is the next one. I thought there were 22 episodes but I guess the gathering doesn’t count So there’s actually 23 in the first season

Yeah, that is a new thing with how the episodes are listed on HBO MAX and the remastered version. I had the SD version of the remaster on iTunes from November and it listed The Gathering separate with Midnight being Season 1, Episode 1 and going from there...

iTunes only released the HD version now with the HBO MAX release, so I was forced to double dip to get the HD version. It has the same new number as you with The Gathering listed as Season , Episode 1 and Midnight as Episode 2...

Funny though because the episode order on iTunes is otherwise the original broadcast order as on the DVDs.

I think we can all be adults about this and put any disputes about this behind us. So I think my final words to @MissMarvelous87 on this subject should be reasoned and mature. Nanner nanner nanner.

I’ll have to remember the S2 change. I could easily space on that.

Sorry, what's the S2 change? I need to make notes for when I get to it. The S1 viewing order on Max is fine, right?

So my wife and I are on And the Sky Full of Stars, aka the history of the Earth-Minbari War Part 1...
God, I love this shot...

By mid-season 1, the CGI has already come a long way from the pilot and even Midnight.

And the music from this scene... Christopher Franke does such a great job with B5's scoring. Unlike TNG and other sci-fi series of the era, they did not use stock cues or a rotation of journeymen composers. Franke scored every episode from scratch with 20 to 25 minutes of music.

Okay, @DarthSkywalker and @Snow Queen, don't fall too far behind. :funny:

Yes, HBO's season 1 order is fine and actually closer to the alleged preferred order from JMS. The only mix-up in Season 2 is Divided Loyalties and The Long, Twilight Struggle. They should be reversed.

Copy that.

Nice! We just finished Deathwalker.
What did you think of Babylon Squared and Chrysalis?
So if she had signed on for the series order, Laurel was supposed to be the traitor who shoots Garibaldi in the back in Chrysalis. In the Gathering, if you watch closely, there are a lot of hints she was part of the conspiracy. If you freeze frame certain scenes when the Assassin is moving around the station, the Assassin is using Laurel's identicard. And she reacts so angrily to Kosh's early arrival because it messes up the plan.

never saw B5 watching it right now liking it so far i am only on the pilot
The pilot is super rough and there is a big jump in polish and quality from the pilot to the first season and then from season 1 to the rest. If you like the pilot, then that is a VERY good sign!

Liked them both and like S2. Things are starting to fit together. Regarding your spoiler. I would have been personally bummed.

Tolkien quote in the last episode.

Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger

edit. Not an exact quote but close

Yup, JMS is a huge Tolkien fan and you will find many homages to Tolkien in B5, including dialogue. I'm surprised you didn't notice the other Tolkien quote in Chrysalis...
Even used in the same context of a character leaving to investigate a new shadow arising. ;)

Probably hit when I got up for one reason or another. If I'm just leaving for a few seconds, I don't pause it as someone else is watching it.

What was the line?

in his recorded message about leaving to investigate the attack on the Narn outpost: "Expect me when you see me."

So you have dragged your wife into this as well?

Nice.:hehe:

Ah. Gandalf to Frodo after Bilbo's Party. I actually should have caught that. I remember the scene in B5. Maybe I didn't catch all of it. Not sure.

Actually, I'm taking care of my mom for awhile. She's a SciFi/Fantasy/CBM fan. She has a pic of her and SpiderMan from about 20 years ago that she shows off in her living room. It was around the time the Raimi movies came out.

Oh okay, I know you mentioned that you caring for her and that was why you weren't watching it during the day... I didn't realize that was because she was the one joining you in watching it, I had assumed you were going home and watching it at night after your care obligations. Well, you are a good son and I hope that you two are having a good time watching it together. She sounds like a very cool Mom. :yay:
