Action-Adventure Bad Boys 4

Still probably skipping this in theaters but I'll wait until it's on demand.

This was a blast to watch with a packed cinema. "Bad Boys Ride Or Die" does everything it says on the tin. Great chemistry between Will and Martin as usual. Martin really seemed to have fun here(abit too much at times lol) and Will kept him in check(Literally) Mike did have more meat in this film due to some revelations from the last film and they handle it very well, credit to Armando(Jacob Scipio) as he has a few moments to shine alongside. Supporting cast was good, was nice to see everyone back but was bummed Theresa Randle didn't return. Oh there is one character who got a big reception in my screen....

The downside to this film i would say are the cookie cutter villains. There pretty much what you would expect and unfortunately will be quietly forgotten.

I personally found the action and in particular the camera zooms, fly overs and transitions to be top notch. For me its one of the best things ive seen competently done on film. Yes the series is pretty much known for this but damn they utilised it perfectly here. It just drives the chaos of the situation to the viewer better without the overuse of shaky cam and other generic techniques.

Overall i really had fun with this, after hearing of the green light on production i generally thought " really bruh, how old are they now lol " but this is a welcome edition and glad it was made. It complements the 3rd well, so much so that it could be a part 2. Definitely watching back to back with BB4L (The missed opportunity for that title will always irk me now lol)

This will be a people pleaser, theres too many great moments where you can't help but laugh or smile. Theres only been a few times where ive walked out of a cinema and just been......bliss.

Great film and highly recommend 4DX. One of the best usages of the tech this year.

There's a helicopter crash that really throws you around in the seat. It almost felt like that scene from the film Mr. Bean in the best and most fun way possible, lol. I thought people were going to go flying! They turned that dial up!

This was not a good movie. Almost felt like a fake film that should've played in front of Tropic Thunder. Incoherent, mostly unfunny, with "plot twists" that hardly deserve the designation. The directors tried to outdo Michael Bay in mayhem and pyrotechnics and yet it still looked like it was made for TV. If this is what audiences prefer over genuine filmmaking like Furiosa than maybe cinema deserves to die.

Also, what an incredible waste of Rhea Seehorn. I hope she made some money from this at least.

So they ret-conned the reason for the captain’s murder in the last one huh? Usually they wait for a few more sequels before doing something like that

As a person who greatly enjoyed Bad Boys 1 but hated Bad Boys 2, Bad Boys For Life was everything I needed from the franchise and I'm so happy to say Bad Boys Ride Or Die continues the good trend!

But as much as I hate Bad Boys 2, I have to say,

REGGIE! YES YES! THEY DID MY GUY RIGHT!!!

This was the most fun I've had in a theatre since John Wick 4. My audience was super into this from beginning to end and I could definitely see this having good legs until Deadpool & The Wolverine comes out.

Reggie being a badass and Martin Lawrence slapping Will Smith brought the house down lol.

I also thought Armando was pretty great in this movie too.

Rock solid fun time at the movies. The first...40 mins were a little rough for me, the humor and jokes weren't really landing but when the plot REALLY kicks in, this movie is fire. The last hour is just pure old school 80's/90's badass popcorn action and i mean that in the best way possible. And Adil and Bilal KNOW HOW TO SHOOT action. They had some really cool, inventive sequences in this and their gun fight scenes always feel so brutal and visceral.

This aint no John Wick and its nothing you're likely going to remember next week but its just a FUN crowd pleasing time at the movies.

I had so much fun with this movie. Martin Lawrence was on top form and felt like he had a whole lot more to do compared to BB2&3.
Great action, great comedic moments and the chemistry between Martin and Will has never been stronger.
This is the first time in a long time I've felt really entertained at the cinema.

Really good opening for the movie. Hopefully a few Will Smith projects that have been stuck in development get the green light now.

Haven't seen the latest one but I would gladly take more Bad Boys as well.

Great start IMO, especially considering how most of the May movies underperformed and the 4-year gap from the last one which had the advantage of nostalgia and coming off of Bad Boys 2.

Also, thank god they didn't overspend on this movie. Just like the John Wick franchise it shows you that you don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of money on these kind of action flicks.

I'd honestly be down for another film as well.

I cann't be the only one that caught that Khaby Lame cameo...?

Was he
the pedestrian that showed up after Mike and Marcus had their argument following Michael Bay's cameo?

If so, no wonder why a lot of people cheered. My co-worker and I were like "WTF is going on?"

yes
if he didn't make his classic shrug look I probably wouldn't have thought anything of him just being a random person walking by... like I thought the joke was just people in this city seen it all an don't care

Wow surprised this was a $100M budget. Hollywood needs to learn to keep budgets down if they want to have successful movies. As much as I loved Furiousa, the budget was way overboard

They went the fast and furious route with him. He killed their captain and a bunch of other innocent people. But he’s forgiven by the sequel.

Willing to make a bet that Sunday overperforms and this gets closer to $60m opening.

This could potentially top out at $300m worldwide if it has good legs which it very well may because of the cinemascore.

That's what I thought as well. I'm not on social media so I definitely wouldn't know these "TikTok celebs" until you guys mention it.

it's just interesting that we're at the point that Social media has reached the level of getting Movies cameos an influencing pop culture...
