I've only seen Gomez act on her cheesy Disney T.V show and thought she was fine for a super low standard kids T.V show but if her performance in the trailer is anything to go by, she is a **** actress as much as she is a singer. I'm afraid to watch that film because of her. And I'm not one to bash an actor because of where they started but I don't think Gomez will ever be a big time leading lady. If she proves me wrong, awesome.

The studio was drunk if they didn't think people would be laughing at Gomez in that trailer.

I like Gomez. She seems to be more (for lack of a better word) decent than other Disney people, but yeah, I don't care for her as actress or singer, though I will admit "Love you Like a Love Song" is a guilty pleasure.

I still wonder what anyone was thinking by putting a teenage character as a co-star in the movie. I watched it when it was on TV once, and Gomez's character wasn't even necessary for the movie.

...No lie Slow Down by Selena Gomez is my number 1 played song on my Itunes. I think that Come and Get It and Naturally are just fun songs. Sue me

That being said, and this of course is completely off topic from banned members, but this has seemed to just turned into a 2nd lounge, Gomez is a bad actress.

Forget even Getaway she has a new movie out called Behaving Badly...Christ. Worst film this year by far. If she was smart she would stop acting and focus on singing because at least she has success over there. Same with Miley Cyrus

I like a lot of Gomez's songs but I'd like them even more if she wasn't "singing" them. Her vocals are ridiculously thin and lazy.

Gomez seems like a growing star, learning to gradually improve over time. Only bad thing I think say about her is her taste in men.

Actually she isn't stealing the car, the car is hers and Hawke is stealing it and she tries to stop him. She's actually the rich daughter of some politico, and get this, she's a computer expert! I'm not sure what is less believable, her as a street kid or her as a teenage Chloe O'Brien.

How is it an error to visit or frequent character-specific boards when that is precisely the reason 95% of people join Superhero Hype in the first place?

Because of the persistant negativity and/or fanboyism. It is one thing for it all to happen after release. It's an entirely different beast when it happens a year or more before a film even comes out. The Spidey and Bat boards specifically have been like that for years. My post was really directed toward those two. I should have clarified.
