Making racist comments are never "just a joke" to the people they are aimed at. The world becomes a better place when such "jokes" are loudly proclaimed to be unacceptable by people.

It's too bad that D.P. was banned, he was one of the better users in the Batman/Superman threads.

It is too bad D.P asked to be banned. Stupid move on his part.

We need all of the positive posters we can muster over there. No offense to the people who aren't positive but lets be honest I'm going to like talking to the positive people more than you when it comes to BvS.

That's…. not really cool.

I'm talking about in cases if someone had a bad day, or if someone meant it truly in jest, and wasn't a troll otherwise.

Yeah, I'll miss D.P. quite a bit. He was a bit too blunt at times, and I know I've disagreed with him on other things around here when I've seen him post, but he was refreshing as a prescence in the BvS boards.

I completely agree with all of this.

DP was one of a select few who posted regularly on the BvS boards and was somewhat articulate, thoughtful, and not an excruciatingly irritating whiner.

I don't think it was right that he was banned just because he rhetorically asked to be. What did anyone gain from that? I can only hope that he isn't prohibited from joining with a new account, as he has done nothing wrong and there is no justice to the situation otherwise.
