The Ferrari inspired Burton mobile would suit Affleck way better, evidenced by this:

Btw, in the original didn't they have to use steel tires for some reason, increasing the unsprung weight and making that Ferrari so slow they had to speed up the footage to make it look like it was going fast?

This isn't Affleck v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Maybe Wayne can drive a ferarri to play up the playboy persona. But Batman needs something that can withstand the mayhem he'll face in this film and no matter how busy the design is on the new Batmobile, it'll be practical for what he'll go up against (excluding Superman).

I've always seen a third gen corvette in the burtonmobile.

I'll make a case against the tumbler and new bm. I don't like the exposed tires. Seems to easy to disable them. I would have liked something similar to the armored burtonmobile... that actually moves of course.

Another thing-The tumbler obviously looks like a military prototype developed by a company like Wayne. I like that sense of realism.

This new batmobile looks like a joined project between Lamborghini and Hummer, as pictured by a guy in a custom auto shop. All it's missing is a West Coast Customs badge (not really). I just think it's way too busy and impractical for a guy like Batman. Then again, we don't know what's going to happen in the film, don't know it's full capabilities. And he also drove a flying roach in the last film.

So ...yeh.

Yeah, me too. I find it to be too wide and unnecessarily big to be practical.

Body is beautiful and slick, but chassis is too wide and truck-like, which is why I believe it leaves opposite impressions of being too busy and slick at the same time, as Hazardude rightly noticed.

Thanks for bringing the logic back in the game.

This...some of it. I too think it looks busy but at the same time it's slick? But that's just me, I like it. But in one of the spy videos of the Batmobile involved in a chase scene, there is a guy standing in a moving destroyed truck with a Bazooka pointed at the Batmobile, so maybe that's a hint as to why it needs the tank-ish design. Haha.

Wrong. In Batman Forever (forever a great movie), batman proved that he is slick and brainey, not a hulking thing that needs lots of armor. Instead of an armored car he had a fast car. When two-face shot a rocket launcher at him, what did he do? Something very batman like of course. pushed a button and the car moved sideways out of the way. how cool is that? very cool. how cool is having a big dumb tank for a batmobile. less than cool...

Hey, Affleck may drive a Ferrari, but Batman would be more suited to say a Citroen GT, Pagani Zonda, or Deveel 16. But then we had the Burtonmobile so...

I always loved the style of the Burtonmobile, but the thing that bothered me greatly was how low to the ground it was. Seriously, a speed bump or a pot hole and that thing was toast.

With these new versions, especially the Fleckmobile, not only is it stylish - but that sucker is going to survive almost anything that gets in its way.

It look like the tumbler 2.0 and I'm ready for something radically different.

6/10

But it's cool. :o

That is pretty cool! :hubba

Guys I'm not totally sold on all your opinions. I think they might be wrong (opinions can be wrong, right? :wow:)

So I just wanna make the point that Affleck is going to make a great Batman, but a Batman ain't nuthin' without his badass Batmobile AKA chick magnet. I think that women might really like the new design alot, but theyre really gonna flip seeing a Lamborghini. Ya know? I like the idea of agility vs. power in a Batmobile. Save the fighting for the REAL HERO: BATMAN!!!

Thanks guys!!

...I was being sarcastic but okay. Haha. And what's up with this wanting for Batman to be this smooth, cool lady's man? I mean he can be that as Bruce Wayne, but even then does this guy look like he's got time for all that? :funny:

My biggest criticism of the new BM and Tumbler is that some sniper can easily take out those exposed tires. And if that happens, I hope he has roadside assistance. :oldrazz:

Well, using that same logic, a sniper could easily take out the old batmobile tires too. Snipers have pretty good aim. :oldrazz:

BUTTTTT... these new tires have much thicker rubber when compared to the older models bat-tires and the thicker tires could withstand sniper fire better??? :shr:

I don't think they'll withstand a sniper with a 50 cal, nor a superman with heat vision. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Criticisms aside, I am looking forward to what this Batmobile can do.

A Chevy? No, I read somewhere it was a Ferrari LaFerrari, just like the one pictured above. Burton is no fool. No one thinks Chevy's are fast.
It was based on a Corvette or something. Also, the LaFerrari didnt exist in the 80ies. Or did you mean the new Batmobile?

In any case it doesnt matter what it's based on, since it's not supposed to be a reskinned Corvette in the movie. Just like the batsuit isnt suppose to be rubber, but armor.

I mean, look at the pic of the original again. It has a roll cage. that supports a sophisticated, corner carving bruce-schumacher-wayne. millionaire playboy style makes sense.

Affleck does not want you to see him in the movie. He wants to do such a good job to point were you don't see him in the movie, he wants you to see Bruce Wayne and batman. So that Pic of Afleck is irrelevant

OK SO: I think it's almost ludicrous that you all think the new batmobile is so cool. Let's hop back to 1989, when the batmobile was nothing short of BADASS. People, a decked out blacked out Ferrari is so realistic to what Bruce Wayne stood for. It was such a hit that the producers made the decision to use a luxury super car, a Ferrari as a batmobile.THAT. IS. SO BADASS.

I mean really... compared to this Tonka truck of a batmobile?

Where does Bruce Wayne go when he needs new tires? The frickin' Goodyear plant? I mean people, come on. Batman is a practical superhero with a taste for luxury and fine Italian sports cars. Stop trying to make him a lumberjack. Ben Affleck would rather drive through hairpin turns than up a skyscraper. Keep Batman realistic so we can actually dream.

Thanks guys!
The batman 89 batmobile is highly unrealistic. it looks ridiculous with its dumb fins, IMO. The batmobles from the recent batman comics look closer to BvS batmoble

You need to have your mouth washed out....

I can see you love Ferrari very much but the 1989 Batmobile was nothing like the Enzo. The Enzo has a much different stance, which is because it's a rear engined car, while the 89 BM is front engined. If you must compare it to a real super car then the only one that looks even remotely like the BM would be the Mercedes SLR McLaren, being much smaller in size of course.

Although there was a time when the 89 BM was great (and it certainly did reflect the design cues of sports cars in the 80's), we've moved into an era where things must be more functional than pretty, and for that job the new BM is significantly better.

I had to give this one a 6 because of two major reasons.

The first being that it's too thin. Sure it's pretty big because of it's width, but it has no bulk. It looks really uncomfortable to sit in and causes claustrophobia. Especially for 6'4 BatFleck.

The second, and this really loses points with me, is that it has no booster. A Batmobile without the booster is just not the Batmobile to me. Without it, it looks like it could be a vehicle in any space related game.

What I do like about it is that it looks like a space ship on some really cool wheels. Here, it looks really good. As far as the design goes, it's my top pick out of all of the live action Batmobiles. Overall, it's one of my least favorite.

No matter what we get, people will ALWAYS Complain that it's not the batmobile or it looks bad. The tumbler, the Arkham knight batmoble, the BvS batmobile, even the Bat from TDKR. People will NEVER be happy. People need to realize that the batmoble is never the same through out its history in the batman lore.

I'm sorry (ok, not really), but the Fleckmobile is PERFECT. Snydra took the Tumbler, the Burtonmobile, and a Lambo and completely created a perfect hybrid of all of those. I give it a 10.

Really? Really? This isn't even a complaint, it's called an opinion and everyone has one. We all know that the Batmobile is never the same through out the history of Batman, we're not idiots. I actually like the new Batmobile, but I gave a fair rating according to what I like about the Batmobile. So calm down, stop complaining about who you believe is complaining, and enjoy The Hype. :word:

..... It's a bat themed car for a dude that dressed up like a bat and beat up clowns and black blooded penguin men.
