dear lord.

look at burtons buildigns and nolans gotham.
noticed the difference?
the one looks complete fantasy the other looks like a real world.
Erm....gonna have to question you on that one, chief. Have you never seen gothic buildings before? They're everywhere.

Whenever people start to bash realism in Batman movies, I feel like saying, "hey, wouldn´t it be cool if Batman fought a dragon in the movies?" like it´s for serious and then watch the reaction...

It's the law and it's official: The Bat Pod is cool.

Even if the name is a bit weird, the cycle is still cool with it's militiristic look and feel. We can argue all we want but it won't take the thing out of the movie.

:cwink:

might aswell try to embrace it rather then whine and ***** about it for the next year right?

Those pictures from the NY licensing show should really change several people's mind.

Anyone here want to give us comparison pictures between Batman+ Robin , Batman Forever and TDK bat cycle pictures?

i mean, it's a problem i'm sure that they will adress. That's a good theory though on the cape.

It looks like the cape could very easily get caught in the cycle's rear axel if you ask me.

I am still holding on hope that his cape turns into a spoiler to help the aerodynamics of the bat-pod. :o No wait, I don't want to see Batman portrayed as one of those ricey Honda's.

I honestly don't see that happening seeing as he will be moving on it most of the time and his cape will be ridding the wind and not the back tire.

about the cape...once he's moving he's good to go. the cape will be flowing, so it probably will only touch the back tire. as far as him taking off.....all he has to do is make sure his cape is one one side of the bike and not lying on the back tire...

Fair enough. I dunno, I liked his casting from the get go. I definitely think he has the chops to pull it off - he showed a glimpse of the duality that is needed in his role in The Black Dahlia.
Leo is great, I have to admit, and getting better. Matt Damon was offered the role originally, remember?

And he has to feel a bit like a politician, which Eckhart can do really well (check out "Thank You for Smoking".)

The cape could very easily get caught in a revolving door as well, but it's all a matter of suspension of disbelief.

Ive been trying to find the closest comic equivalent to the Batbike/pod and this is the best i can find

The buildings were done in a Gothic/German expressionist style. What's your point?

It's missing the part that's inserted into the anus.

I kid. I kid.

Let me make this a serious post.

Indeed, hunter, I see a similarty in the wheel size and hand guards. beyond that I must say it's difficult to what we're getting resembles a star wars speeder bike more.

yup that's it. from Batman Confidential (i think).

but it still looks like a bike, its got that protective shield between the driver and the front tire. Nolan's BatPod looks like a two wheeled moon buggy.

Cyrus, this isn't the first time you've attempted shallow criticism with you head up your rear end. If you're so inclined to continue this debate from where we left off, then by all means lets do so. After all, what could be more fun than exposing you for what a pretentious wannabe critic you really are who simply knows how to use big words but doesn't know how to back them up?

Oh and I can't understand why in heaven's name are the 'haters' of a particular film franchise the most persistently vocal demographic on its message boards? I mean, I can't stand a minute of Tim Story's FF movies and a simple pop in for my thoughts is more than enough. I don't stick around there like a fly and aggravate everyone there with the same ol' redundant drivel. Just looking at the threads in this forum and I mostly see the same old jackasses whining about one thing or the other. Good Lord!

Why did you attack me instead of my arguement?

Uneccesarry use of montage can be seen in most of his work, Batman Begins has suffered the most from this in the public eye. I find it curious as to why you just go after the poster and not the post, this is not the place for this though, and we shall let it alone, I just hope we can have a discussion rather than you hurling insults next time.

My point however, is the practicality of the bike, a carapace of armour, to protect the rider more and the vital area's of the engine also.

I don't think this will be coming out of the tumbler, I think it's more of a temporary replacement, which would make sense as to why it's rather basic etc...

Actually, you're quite wrong. Frankly, I think it's pretty lame. As Wesyeed and I have both said, it looks like something out of Star Wars. Which will cause a conflict with this "realism" that everyone seems to be on about all over again.

The more they reveal about this movie, the less excited I am.
