Worst looking comic book movie vehicle ever, I thought the batmobile from BB was bad now this, these don't even look or feel like Batman. It's a shame, with all that can be done now it's just a waste of Batman. From the Joker to that joke of a suit this is crap.

I gave it an 8. I need to see some more shots, but I like what I've seen.

Decided on a 7 vote,i don't love it and it didn't wow me on first viewing but i think it's a very interesting and innovative vehicle and that intrigues me more than something that just looks cool but does little like the Fantasticar in FF2

Maybe he's just too goofy... I don't know...I certainly hope he can.

Thank You For Smoking just wasn't really the "Hey look Aaron Eckhart is an great actor...we just never saw it cuz he had bad parts!" role that I thought it was going to be. I hope TDK is.

And is shameless product placement, hehe...

You all keep looking for reasons for this to exist.

It's a vehicle replacement, simple as that. Something happens to the Batmobile, and just as in the comics, whenever the Batmobile is out of commission, Batman needs an alternate form of transportation. It's that simple. The thing has guns on it because let's face it, a plain "bike" isn't cool enough for Batman, and Wayne Enterprises probably developed this thing as some kind of covert assault cycle, along the same military lines as The Tumbler. Having seen this design, I'm not even more certain that Batman's cape will "retract" somehow.

They did get a nice zoom in on the Dodge logo ;) but i thought that was a striking design it was just not used in a large enough sequence for me

Yeah, I actually loved the design too, but excessive product placement always annoys me.

So are you agreeing or disagreeing with me?

I think your sig is hilarious. Is that some sort of pro-schumacher propostion? I hope not. Seeing how Schumacher gaves us 2 disasterous movies and Nolan has gave us one awesome movie and one yet to be finished.

Heh,with this batbike i am really waiting to see it in action before throwing any real support behind it or against it,i have a feeling it's gonna be a real eye opener when we see it in action, hopefully in the teaser

It's got a hemi?
If it we're a street car, I'd buy Dodge being a sponsor of the team, but it's a freakin' jet. Go bug boeing for product placement. I do think it's weird that Dodge isn't capitalizing on the free publicity. No commercials, etc.

As for the BatPod. I think it looks awesome. It's a very simple design: Two huge monster truck wheels with a spherical gymbal in the middle. What else could you ask for? I could imagine it being plucked from the tumbler, but not "emerging" from it. That seems a little outlandish. I just imagine Bats having to click a button which pops the front end out which essentially becomes the pod. The name only makes sense if it's an escape pod, which it should be. I could definitely imagine Batman running people over on this thing.

I was thinking the same thing as Guard because Hemming said the new cape is top secret - knowing Nolan and his realism angle, the cape could in fact "retract" somehow, that way it doesn't get tangled up.

But then again, with the cape billowing out behind him would make for a good visual as well.

I don't know, if the cape retracts....I think that's taking the hi-tech angle a little too far.

I'd rather the cape issue be movie-magic like it was in Begins, but I wouldn't be opposed to it. I'm struggling to come up with alternative uses for the cape

Well, it expands and stiffens with an electric current running through it, so who's to say the opposite couldn't happen?

Just a thought, probably won't happen......

we all know his cape is going to be fitted as a ricey spoiler at the press of a button when he gets on his bike.

Thats what the top secret cape thing in EW magazine was talking about :cwink:

The cape is made of a super sensitive memory cloth that doesn't billow when Bruce rips one.

Well, Hemming said the cape is top secret, so my guess is it's now capable of different things. Crowley also said there's more toys other than the Batpod, so the technology going on in this film should be interesting.

Maybe we're thinking 2 different things here. When I see 'retract', I think of the cape sliding into nowhere, completely disappearing.

its not bad...it looks kinda bare on the gadget and details side but, its not a 10 either. Though I'm not sure what is.
