Batman: Arkham City

As long as they get Richard Moll to voice Two-Face,Im happy.

I dont think Joker should return...He looked pretty ****** up in the end, lol.

Have you seen the trailer? I think Joker is back.

This is awesome, im very excited for it. I can see it now, Batman: City Asylum.

Awesome teaser, I look forward to this. I have yet to play the original AA, but I plan to buy it as soon as I get my PS3.

Basicly theres a wall AROUND Gotham.. It's like No Man's Land. =p Rocksteady just found it a cool thing if the people would instead of saying "oh gotham's a no man's land" to call it "oh gotham's gone bedlam!" Arkham asylum!"

Is this official or just your speculation/wishful thinking?

um, dude, there's a sign saying "arkham asylum" on the gates. i think it is blindingly obvious there is a new arkham. as the tagline states "arkham has moved".

Jesus tapdancing Christ.

you do realize that by saying arkham has moved, it's just a metaphor for the inmates overrunning the city right?

Why the **** would the game makers go from one game that took place in one Arkham to another ****ing game that took place in ANOTHER ****ing Arkham?

and your metaphor idea is based on what exactly?

with what the trailer provides us with, it's not hard to work out the tagline is downright telling us what's happened. the trailer starts with a large gate with the words "arkham asylum" emblazoned over it. and it's located in the city. you do realise that, right?

given the new city location, the escaped inmates would be out on the streets in no time. i presume that's how they are there in the first place. where else have they come from?

we do not know where the game will be set. i think they will open the game up to the city, given how the trailer travels through the streets and so on. we may enter the new asylum at some stage, which will be a totally different environment to the first.

*sigh*

Basically "Arkham has moved" refers to Arkham Asylum apparently help quarantine a part of Gotham City that is under siege (as we see in the beginning of the trailer). The reason it is under siege is due to the events of the first game (I doubt all the inmates stayed in the asylum when Joker took over).

There is no "New Asylum" being built in the city. Your thinking way into this...

This.

I can't believe this is so hard to understand.

"Arkham. Has. Moved. To another Arkham. We were actually just holding all the dangerous psychopaths that kill thousands of people a day in THIS building, well away from the city, until the REAL asylum, smack dab in the MIDDLE of the city, where thousands of people are killed daily by these dangerous psychopaths, was already. But don't worry. You're all perfectly safe."

Yeah. Makes total ****ing sense.

as far as i know, this isn't official. it's speculation.

even if they are arkham patients, why wouldn’t the police be responsible for rounding them up off the street? arkham is a prison, not a police force.

how do you know? and oh yeah, they all swam across the ocean..

again, how do you know? what is this claim based on?

Yep, nobody knows. It's nothing but guesswork.

This is not as clear cut as "TheBatman072" seems to think. Certainly, the city simply being over run by maniacs is a possibility, but the fenced off section of the city marked "Arkham" suggests to me that, following the destruction of the original asylum in the first game, the inmates have been moved to a section of the city that's basically now being used as a prison camp, until such a time that Arkham can be rebuilt and they can be sent back there.

A similar idea was featured in Gotham Knight, where the entire Narrows island was repurposed as one massive Asylum.

that sounds better.

that it was.

Well it was (admittely) rather ignore of me to not add the possibility that Arkham has actually moved to the city, tho i didn't personally find the Asylum itself in a bad shape, just the guest room which was turned into Joker's throne room.

Its symbolsim. The Asylums madness has spread to Gotham. The city itself is now an insane Asylum. I reckon it will be large areas around Gotham and to get to the next, you will use the Batmobile and it will take you there automatically.

Neither is what your saying official. And the police are rounding them up, hence the swat officers and police cars in the beginning of the trailer. From what I can tell, the only thing arkham is providing is the god damn wall.

how do you know? and oh yeah, they all swam across the ocean..

Yeah because Arkham was located in the middle of the ocean. :o
I do believe that was ROAD Batman was driving on to get to the island at the beginning of the first game.

You sound like a broken record. Nothing is concrete at this point, but its more than likely that they're not building a new Asylum, when the old, for the most part, is still in good condition.

hey, guys!

without jumping into a heated discussion, i'd like to offer my opinion that the "arkham has moved" bit is the game makers wanting to expand the playing field - so if the story has moved to gotham (city), there will be more (realistic) chances of catching minor criminals as you roam. 'cause lets face it, these game makers LOVE to put those sort of challenges into these types of games. :yay:

I had no idea there would be sequel content so fast! I can't wait for more - Arkham Asylum was incredibly fun.

I hope Riddler & Catwoman are more involved...and I would prefer no Robin/Nightwing.
While a GTA style open environment would be cool, I'm ok with the linear approach of the first game.
