Ey, Rocksteady! Spider-Man's lore is at least as detailed and great as Batman's! I know you work for Warner Bros who own DC but...

I think Catwoman qualifies as Batman's most compromising frenemy.:woot:

He compromises some of his ideals around her because she's A) useful for espionage and thievery when he needs it, B) nowhere near as dangerous as her peers and willing to lend a helping hand, and C) smokin' hot.

Likewise, she compromises her usual amoral routine when he's around because A) she can always get away after helping him, B) she does have an altruistic side underneath her cynical edge, and C) his hotness is likewise smokin'.

The Damian Wayne tease is probably a skin design, though I could see Arkham Knight being a twist on the Heretic concept.
 
I knew he'd say that About TMNT. it was too obvious if they are reluctant about hiring some one or people that has/ have done co-op programming(way different fro MP) as experience, then it won't happen especially since the turtles are team orientated. and they're games almost always had optional co-op. Other wise Rocksteady would have searched for some one or a number people with that Experience, Just like they did for the bat mobile. (their unsung heroes for that new feature) and batman has worked in teams and created and lead them. every one fallows him. There's no way tmnt would happen with out Rocksteady having experience in that department. and until they are( or say ) ready to expand they Horizons I'm expecting it. you can't jump on to some thin you have little experience with how the market place is now. too many people are unforgiving unfortunately.

I always stated this. that's another one answered.

Now all he has to answer is the super man thing on if Rocksteady will ever be interested doing that on video. And that's it. it will be settled as well.


Right now they have no current plans on what their doing next or they aren't ready to reveal that. So I wish them luck what ever they will do it'll be interesting.

To me, it always felt like:

Joker = Batman's main villain psychologically
Bane = Batman's main villain physically
Riddler = Batman's main villain mentally
Two-Face = Batman's main villain emotionally
Ra's Al Ghul = Bruce Wayne's main villain overall

Every other villain is sort of the "next level down" of everyone above.

Scarecrow = Batman's second main villain psychologically
Deathstroke = Batman's second main villain physically
Penguin = Batman's second main villain mentally
Catwoman = Batman's second main villain emotionally
Hugo Strange = Bruce Wayne's second main villain overall

lol I see you added some stuff there and death stroke's not even in his list of rogues as far as bat man is concerned him self.(he was fun to fight though) Any way the list is interesting. I like the set up list there.
 
Doesn't WB own Rocksteady?

Would that mean that other franchises can possibly be locked out from Rocksteady? For instance, would Disney/Marvel or Viacom not license one of their franchises to Rocksteady?

I'm not sure how IP works with video games.
 
I am pretty sure we will never see Rocksteady do a Marvel title.
 
Out of the blue, I say they're covering the Harry Potter universe next.

Each contract with certain games dev studio's and games and console publishers (their bosses be it short or long term ) are different. we don't know full the details, it's possible that Rocksteady could be like Mercury steam that did the recent castle vania series (or a dev studio like platinum games) and they left konomi recently which mean it was just a jump off point.

So it's possible Rocksteady can do other jobs for other publishers. Most studios try to do other jobs for other studios after they leave, so they them selves can be come publishers. And I won't say they won't do a Marvel title until I know the full details. so they have to say that them selves and even then, while it's possible they could, but they have to be interested in the ip. if they aren't locked to Wb that is and are free to do as they wish like mercury steam is now.

And there's was that thing where people were asking the people of the Lego marvel games how was it they were able to do a Lego game while under wb publishing? this was ask on cam by EPN.TV to one of the head Dev's of lego marvel and even though the man didn't speak on the full details they some how found a way to have the ip happen.


Oh lets keep in mind the people of the Lego games might have some pull since they are a semi publisher. so while that dev man did a poor job of how they got around that issue, I'll have to use that. for now

I've been saying this for a long time now that Rocksteady is hoping to buy their independence after this title. They've done a good enough job and made enough money that they can afford their freedom and sign on with a different publisher if they so please.

Based on that interview it certainly seems as if they want to part ways with WB Interactive.

Rocksteady deserves to chase whatever goal they want as a company and I'll gladly follow them wherever they go. :up:

They can make just about whatever game they want. They don't have be free of WB Interactive to do so.
 
I'm sure WB would love to push a Justice League game on them... but as with Nolan, they'll happily let them move on to others things and bend over backwards to keep them with the studio as much as possible.

At least WB Montreal know how to build a Batman game, so fans have a reliable successor to Rockseady

Let's say Rocksteady buys their independence.

In the interview, they don't really seem uninterested in making licensed games in the future, as long as it has as rich of a world as Batman's. To me, it seemed rather that's what he'd prefer.

Activision has lost the rights to Spider-Man (with the exception of the movie licensed titles).

Spider-Man's world is at least as rich as Batman's. A Spider-Man game also would make for a perfect mix of things Rocksteady already do very well (open world richness, exciting story presentation, attention to detail etc.) and things that would prove an exciting challenge for them (coming up with a new combat system that fits Spider-Man, making a game with a different tone, web swinging etc.).

One can Dream!
