Scarecrow is giving off pure Freddy Kruger vibes in that trailer.

Looks good so far.

That was one of my favorite Batman trailers, ever. lol. So good.

God, that was good. Still not crazy about the suit, but pretty much everything else is yowza.

Agreed on the suit. At least with these types of games, we can typically unlock new/better suits when replaying, so I can deal with it.

Eh. Not to excited. It's like madden, call of duty, where I feel like I'm playing the same game over and over.

...What? Madden and Call of Duty ARE the same game over and over again.. Batman always tends to be different. Besides, I don't even view the titles as yearly releases.. When did AC come out? 2 years ago? It gave us open world as compared to AA's closed off gameplay.. Knight will expand on that and give us the Batmobile and who knows what else..

Nothing like Madden or CoD.. At all.

How is it not the same game? Cutscene fight 10 thugs in the same now boring style from Asylum. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Yeah, I'm getting that feel. The environment abandoned again? No big proportion of citizens again? Just Batman, villains, and the police again? No major shakeup in formula at all?

Hell, Scarecrow just comes across as a bit of a joke in the trailer purely on that premise alone:
Scarecrow: "Soon this will become a city of FEAR!"
Gordon/Mayor: "Okay, evacuate the city, set up a perimeter, and the police force along with Batman will help take back control."
Scarecrow: "No! Wait! I was, er, joking! It would be a city of, er, free snags and burgers! I can't have a city of fear without people!"

EDIT: I thought Last Son meant story wise, not game play wise.

everything is the same. I'm just bored. Maybe I'm just getting older

I'm ok with people being out of the city.. Suspension of disbelief I guess. I don't want to runover an old lady as I'm speeding down the streets in the batmobile. That would really take me out of the moment. Plus there would probably be "get my balloon, PLEASE MR!" side quests if they were around. *shudder*

There is a saying If it ain't broke, don't fix it

I do not understand why some players want the next game in the series to be different just to be different

Just fix it somehow you don't hit them. It makes the city that much more dead and boring

Meh, doesn't bother me in the least. I have a harder time wondering why people even want to LIVE in Gotham period.. let alone stay there during a Villain war.

I'm just looking forward to a reboot. One where the story doesn't take place in one night. One where the mission isnt just saving the city. Just a more drawn out personal story, where we can react and wait for consequences

It's Batman, what more can they do? He's a ninja, a detective and a predator. They added the Batmobile, what else do you want?

:woot: I can agree with this

Funny thing is one of the main complaints Origins got was basically being a rehash of City.
