Batman: Arkham Knight

Yeah, it sounds about right.

'Killing' Bruce Wayne to become a darker and meaner Batman.
I'm reading The Riddler's Gambit, too. It's surprisingly good so far.

This is why I have crossed working in the video game industry (excluding indie) off my list a long time ago. When WB opened a studio here few years ago, I was really ecstatic. Two things I love in one place: DC and video games. But no, hearing this kind of stuff, whether it's the publisher or the developer's fault, on the internet and/or from friends who interned/worked at EA and Ubi just riles me especially since I'm keen on the quality of my work (software engineer); if a product we make is crappy, my peers and I will obviously take full responsibility or at least part of it.

Beat the game. It can't get more cinematic and epic than this. Rocksteady has nailed almost everything related to the Batman world. Especially the relationship between him and the Joker. I can't see it going deeper than this! Coming to the Scarecrow, I found his reactions very monotonous. It was a bit let down, but the Arkham Knight's, however, were very enjoyable. His identity wasn't surprising as expected, but the voice actor did a great job! He was a bit terrifying in one certain mission.

Coming to the gameplay, it was fun as ever. I really liked the Batmobile. Added a variety to the gameplay. Although I don't find any replayability in the game, this will be the definitive Batman game for me.

And finally...

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill...they will always be my Batman and Joker. Nobody can replace them! :)

A great way to end the series I'd say.

Did [BLACKOUT]Man-Bat[/BLACKOUT] scare the **** out of anyone else? I was playing with my headphones on and was repelling up a building and as I was climbing over the ledge [BLACKOUT]Man-Bat[/BLACKOUT] came out of nowhere and screamed/screeched. I screamed.:funny:

Yes I did. There's also a similar fright when [BLACKOUT]Joker does the same thing to you laughing hysterically.[/BLACKOUT]

Hmmm going off that system, I'd rate it... Decentastic
some fantastic parts, some not so much, but overall above average

Yeah it'd give it awesometastic..the "bad" parts in it aren't bad at all.. Just a lower quality than what we would expect in an Arkham game.

Still not done with it..may take me the rest of the summer as I'm 100%ing it and my gaming time is limited anymore. But I really hope we get future DLC that expands on the ending and maybe bridges to what RS or WBM plan on doing next with Batman. The Arkham series MAY be over but Batman: Enter Subtitle Here will happen.

I've only used a guide for 1 Riddler trophy so far that I had no clue how to solve and I'm at 70/243 with about 85% overall completion. I'm gonna keep running solo until I hit a wall :hehe: I'm enjoying doing them on my own and I feel like I see something new every time I play.

I love this explanation for what's going on in the Full Knightfall Protocol Ending:

http://community.wbgames.com/t5/Spoiler-Zone/Ending-Explained-with-the-Burning-Batman/m-p/580132

It's the perfect setup for what could come next if Rocksteady ever wanted to return to the character.

Good explanation and yeah a perfect set up for a potential new game set after AK but I still don't like it, well it's okay but I would have preferred something like [BLACKOUT]Batman supposedly dying by sacrificing himself or Bruce retiring and passing down the bam an mantle to Dick and either one without revealing his identity to the world[/BLACKOUT]

Wait, is this a wall run reference, in that you do to do one to reach a certain trophy? :ninja:

Yeah. I honestly HATE when [BLACKOUT]a heroes idienity is revealed. More so when it's Batman.. Who seems to "perfect" to let that happen, lol.[/BLACKOUT]

Also, screw your Pat for being #1 on my friends list with the combo challenge! You're like at what? 200? Im in second with 59!

>:(

Ha, I wouldn't be surprised if wall running was a new skill I didn't know about in AK. But no, until I reach a point where I have no clue how to solve most of them, I'll start referring to guides. I'm enjoying doing them on my own right now.

Oh. I said that because I was reading something about a limited wall run in launching back into a glide after you hit a wall after gliding... but never mind. :O

Damn, 200? Whew. I've only done it a few times but I'm currently at 88 if I'm thinking of the same challenge (the one that stops when your combo breaks or you get hit).

Finally took down Firefly turns out my After Burner was at level 2 upgraded to 3 and took him down!!

Nah it's just the lazy excuse to do so cause they want money now & think they'll fix it later when that should be a priority. he's right, he's right there are just some shady executive's with bad idea's that make these chose's.

This is just a case of just because you can cause you think it's easy or can get away with it doesn't mean you should.

That's exactly what I said. In the internet era, games can be fixed after release with patches, so lazy publishers think they can fix buggy games after release. That is less true with consoles, so big AAA console games are usually a lot better QA'd and debugged, so big PC release in general tend to be buggier.

oh I missed worded that cause of the fact that there's the web & it's used as an excuse in their minds when I wasn't saying you were defending that reasoning.

Agreed but unless the chose of that person incharge seriously f's up the entire process in which the rest of the company can't over look it , that person responsible for the poor chose will still be there which will still have work despit the poor chose.

That should only be done cause they seriously low on fund's or another problem like they have no chose issue. but if they see the problem and are capable of fixing before launch or what book publishers like to say see's the press's to the audience or say what tv does broad cast's & premiers, then they should fix before it ever reach's the audience's cause there's no excuse for it.

This is a good game, but I do have some flaws with it.

- I think Rocksteady overdid things a bit with the Batmobile parts. Like 80% of the game involves using it for something. Tank battles, some kind of puzzle etc. I kinda understand the "too much Batmobile" complaint now.

- Lack of actual predator rooms. I mean almost all of the predator encounters took place on a rooftop instead of inside a building.

- Lack of boss fights. Huge disappointment for me after the good fights that City and Origins had.

- There were a lot of things that could have been done with [BLACKOUT]Deathstroke,[/BLACKOUT] but when we face him instead we get another[BLACKOUT] tank battle[/BLACKOUT]. Which was pretty much the same as the one with[BLACKOUT] Arkham Knight[/BLACKOUT].

- [BLACKOUT]The Hush sidequest was also a disappointment after the buildup that City had.[/BLACKOUT]

How do you get the 'I am the Batman' trophy? All it says to get it is 'Reclaim your city'. Reclaim it how? What are you supposed to do?

Can I just ask a quick question to those who've finished the game. I won't spoil anything but those who are where I am now in the game will know what I'm talking about - does it start raining again after a certain event??

Yes it does eventually.
