Batman: Arkham Knight

I'm curious about the DLC Crimefighter Challenge maps and whether or not Batman's playable allies from AC will have new moves, gadgets or even changes. When we did get to briefly play as them in AK, they lacked any new moves (Catwoman's moveset seemed especially lacking).

Catwoman's moveset wasn't just lacking, she'd actually lost a gadget entire - the trip-up spikes she could throw were gone.

Would anyone want DLC that enables you to play as the Batman at the full 100% ending of the game? Most of the mechanics would probably be a lot different, but I think it could be pretty insane, lol.

I would love it, but given how ambiguous Rocksteady was about it, I doubt they'd do it. Making that playable would answer a lot of questions and ruin the mystery.

I've only recently noticed that you can see Arkham City and New Gotham (Royal Hotel, woo!) from Wayne Tower. A nice touch.

I saw Arkham City, but I didn't notice New Gotham before. Awesome. I'll have to look out for it next time.

I was so glad they acknowledged Origins so much in this.

Yup, especially considering that Origins "haters" constantly say that Rocksteady didnt aknowledge Origins.

I have this strange need of seeing both Old and New gotham on the next gen, i need origins 2 on next gen...and a new batman game from rocksteady with next gen snow textures...in general i need more batman games:):D

What made me happy were the direct acknowledgements of AO's existence and its link to RS's Arkham world: the GCPD evidence lock up, the forensic scanner mechanic (which could've been used more, imo), Anarky, Firefly's dialogue about his and Batman's encounter on the bridge, Deathstroke etc.

Edit: what The Joker said

I was about that Platinum life last night. Hold the applause.

So help me, there are some of those AR Challenges that will never see the light of my screen again. Praise Whitney Ellsworth for those Scarecrow Challenges on PS4 effectively giving you slack to make up for other areas.

Warner Brothers has no right to whine after they find out that the Arkham Knight was cracked by pirates this week on PC

Was kinda disappointed by the length of the main story, but all them side quests are amazing.

Cant play the game yet since I dont gots a PS4 but I watched the Batgirl cut scenes and it looked so good. I like we got OG Harley to show how she changed.

They'll need to make some massive changes to keep the next Batman game fresh. Some thing's I'd like to see (assuming the next game is a prequel or not an Arkham-verse title):

The story should take place over a longer period of time - none of this "all in one night" stuff. Having the game take place over several days or weeks will create a lot of potential in narrative and gameplay options.

I want time out of the suit. Bruce Wayne and his life is an important part of who Batman is. It's time we get more of that half of him.

Wayne Manor/Batcave. I want to explore Wayne Manner and it's grounds. I want to be able to enter the house and find the secret entrance to the Batcave, suit up, and head out to Gotham in the Batwing or Batmobile.

I just played the game and it's true, you can get a great view of New Gotham from AO on Wayne Tower. It's right adjacent to Arkham City. You can see the long bridge where you fought Firefly, the Gotham Royal Hotel, a couple of the GCR towers that Riddler took over etc. It's so cool to see. You can basically see the settings for the three previous games side by side. Asylum is on the left, then Arkham City in the middle, and then New Gotham on the right.

The funny thing is Rocksteady already confirmed that Origins was canon with their games long before AK came out. I just had no idea that they would make as many great references to it as they did in AK. It was fantastic for all us AO fans.

Yeah I would have liked one or two more crime scene reconstructions, but I was chuffed to see them include it in the game for tracking Oracle part.

Oh and you can add seeing AO's New Gotham to that list of references.

That was pretty cool. It came as a surprise, too, because people seemed to think that Rocksteady was distancing itself from WBM and would outright ignore everything about Origins.

After the full Knightfall protocol, can you spot Wayne Manor in ruins? I haven't gone back to check it - but I remember scanning the Manor during one of Riddler's challenges.

Probably wasn't hard to get those assets since they are all WB Interactive subsidiaries.

Not to mention WB Games Montreal was working on the game for the DLC.

Keep in mind that half of the Gotham in Origins was like the building and locations that were already built in Arkham City.

I was quite proud of my platinum myself. :funny:

And yeah, those Scarecrow missions were a life saver in getting the AR stars. There was no way I was going to be able to get three stars in the stealth tank missions.

I hate the racing challenges, and I want my combat challenge maps back.

Its probably been mentioned already but I'll ask anyway, has anyone seen the alternate opening?

Not yet. Honestly, I'm holding back on going Platinum with the game until some of the skins get released. I'll be playing through the game again with the Keaton batsuit, and hopefully a Bale batsuit. Might as well get the rest of the trophies while I do.

Personally, i only want to walk around as bruce wayne in an intro...otherwise i dont see the gameplay wise interest in it.
It would be enough to hear about his life, seeing him be more then the image playboy etc...but i dont need gameplay sections with him.

A intro with him walking through wayne manor while alfred talks about certain things on their way to the batcave, would kill two birds with one stone.

Im okay with the one night thing, but i could see it work over more then one night.
They could pretty much stop the "night" at a certain main story point, have batman need to go to the batcave to investigate...and let us start the next night in the batcave.
Seeing gotham by daylight would be cool in a short shot, but batmans work is mostly by night.

Having a good intro that covers all those aspects, could be really interesting.
You could start with bruce in ego perspective, sitting in his car early morning.
while driving through a living and breathing gotham city full of people in daylight.
Reading the papers, watching news, hearing the radio, have alfred talk about certain things etc.

The thing is, they dont need to make that big changes...since knight has all things that are needed.

Crime scene investigation, car chases, dual play, stealth, combat etc...all the flavours are there...they just need to use them more.:)

I never play New Game + and so haven't seen it but heard about it. I only need to play through the story once and focus on challenges, free roaming and side missions after it.

What I love about playing New Game Plus is I don't have to collect all the Riddler stuff.

It certainly made the challenge rooms in City flow better as a single, fun side quest. It mus do the same in Knight. Maybe the next step in Riddler side-quest evolutions would be to tie one specific scannable riddle to each segment.
