Batman Begins, the greatest superhero origin story in the history of fiction...

Not for me but it's up there

Yeah at first I wasn't sure about Michael Keaton being Batman but he sold it.

Batman Begins seems to be getting more and more overrated. I am not sure what is driving it.

I've always thought this was mediocre, it deserved the hate TDKR got IMO

Begins hits us over the head with a sledgehammer with its dialogue - fear, fear, fear, fear, fear. However I think it deserves the praise it gets. It's a great representation of Batman in general, and brought the character back from the brink.

I think the first half its great, the rest I find it forgettable at best. I appreciate a lot of the things it did but ultimately I don't think it paid off completely.

I'm not sure, but I think if the train gets to the hub, then the whole city is doomed. Maybe someone ought to explain that three more times just so everyone knows what's at stake.

Happy Anniversary to the greatest superhero origin movie evah!

Greatness drives it. Same thing that drives all awesome movies.

It's definitely a great movie and I love re-watching it from time to time. However, I'm not so sure about "the greatest superhero origin story" part. It would be up there but I think CA: TFA is better as far as origin movies go. IMHO of course.

For me it's definitely the best superhero origin story ever told on screen, just eclipsing Richard Donner's Superman. Those two along with Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Jon Favreu's Iron Man are the gold standard of on screen origin stories I think.

I enjoyed almost every MCU origin movie over Begins.

Begins had Ras Al Ghul spoon feed Bruce Wayne into being Batman and it reduced his vast array of training to ninjitsu.

Katie Holmes slaps Bruce Wayne who considers using a gun. wtf?

Action scenes and the costume were weak.

Microwave bomb is the threat? Is this Adam West's Batman?

Bat-tank jumping roof to roof.

Lucious Fox doing all the brainy work instead of the world's greatest detective.

"Why do we fall? To get back up." This is Batman's inspiration? Seriously?

And the realism is just overdone.

Definitely my least favorite non-Schumacher Bat-film.

Agreed. Batman Begins is definitely best superhero origin, then Raimi Spider-Man, Iron Man, and original Chris Reeve Superman last. They are top ones. Two DC and two Marvel.

And I've enjoyed every single Nolan film from Following to Interstellar far more so than any installment from Disney's "Happy Madison for Superheroes"

Oh right, because the Nolan Batman movies are soooo mature and deep.

None of the subtext is forced or pretentious.

At least Marvel movies are proud of being comic book movies. They don't use realism as a misguided attempt at finding legitimacy from film snobs.

Best of the Nolan trilogy for me and definitely better than any MCU origin, Iron Man is close but Begins is better

Iron Man did use Begins as inspiration for it's origin story.

Is it tough to type with that chip on your shoulder?

This is my view too. Begins, Superman, Spider-Man & Iron Man are the best origin movies IMO. I'd include X-Men First Class but that's more of an Xavier/Magneto origin

Batman Begins is a great movie, and I agree that it is the greatest superhero origin movie of all-time. I do think it is the weakest of the TDKT, but that is not any real sleight on Batman Begins. It still probably gets into my top five CBMs.
