I like them both. I think Kilmer did a good job, and as far as I'm concerned no-one has ever looked better in the suit. I didn't like Afflecks 'fatsuit' but I thought he looked fantastic in the armour, and I loved his Bruce Wayne. Tough, but I'll go with BvS.

Batman Forever.

The level of audience disappointment with Batman Forever was far less than the audience disappointment to BvS Dawn of Martha.

Batman Forever. Yes, its campy and has some questionable acting choices, but it still forms a coherent narrative where story derives from character, and its core foundational concept isn't "I hate superhero comics and don't believe in the concept of heroism".

Batman Forever.

It's honestly one of my favourite BATMAN movies. It's of its time, yes, but there is still alot to like.

BvS is one long, noisy dirge.

Honestly, I've never been that big of a fan of Batman Forever. BvS wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, but I'd still much rather watch it over Batman Forever or Batman & Robin.I loved Affleck's Bruce Wayne as well and I thought he looked pretty great in the suit. His scenes with Jeremy Irons were also some of my favorite scenes in that movie and I wish we got to see more of that Bruce/Alfred dynamic in future movies.

I like both and both are solid films.

BvS is better, Affleck performance was great, the soundtrack, cinematography and action was well done and while the plot might have some flaws, the UE fixed it a bit. It's a good film IMO.

Batman v. Superman is better in terms of story but Batman Forever is more entertaining.

Batman Forever is appalling dirge, BvS is epic film-making. Easy.
I think that neither of that are the case, to me.

Batman Forever.

At least, to me, BF's narrative isn't as all over the place and the actions of the characters make sense, to me. It may be messy, but it's not, to me, pretentious, along with not being gibberish, to me.

For me its Batman Forever.

Despite what alot of fandom tends to think, Batman Forever was a popular film with the GA when it was released, and no , the general audience of 1995 wasn't bitterly disappointed with it.

It was very much a 90s action popcorn flick , and at that time, general audiences weren't looking for a Nolan or Snyder style take on Batman.

The critics weren't kind to be sure, but the film was a major success, and was popular with audiences.

Audiences cheered , laughed , and clapped each time I saw BF in the summer of 1995.

BvS was the opposite result .

When I saw BvS 20 years later in a packed audience, the audience was silent through the whole thing, and walked out of the theater befuddled, with zero applause through the whole thing.

I liked Forever at the time and most people did but after growing up I just didn't really care for it , and even as child of 7 I was thinking I had seen better Batman stuff.

The lighter Batman stuff was always second class to me, and I always preferred the Burton films and Batman: The Animated Series to anything like the 60s show.

That said, Forever is not frustrating to watch and it's easy breezy. So Forever.

BF any day again because of how ****tily written the fight scene was between Supes and Batman amongst other things. It was written so so poorly and there are literally a thousand ways to make it better. Superman didn’t need to be the defeated chump to have Bruce regain his humanity. BF at least had some entertainment value As well

BvS is so hated and considered disappointing that people are now picking Forever?

And I thought the TDKR hate was bad.

Its because BVS sunk any chances of DC having a competitive cinematic universe with Marvel in one fell swoop.

The ripples of the BvS misfire are still being felt today in a lot of the decisions made.

I understand but they shouldn't have hired Snyder. I liked BvS and I think he's a good director but I can see why he's divisive or his movies are disliked. JL and SP are garbage.

also yeah, CW was a massive success and one of the best CBMs ever, at the time and it's still amazing meanwhile BvS is "good" for now lol for a small minority... it was Superman vs Batman first movie together so I totally understand why some people raged or hate Snyder.

Arrgggh this is tough. I hate both of these movies with a passion. It’s a toss-up over who gives a worse trying-too-hard-to-play-the-Joker-even-though-he’s-not-playing-the-Joker performance - Eisenberg or Tommy Lee Jones. Both movies look incredibly fake. Neither one has a storyline that makes a lick of sense.

If you made a list of all the stuff that’s awful in these movies, it would be 1,000 pages long. Batman sitting in a courtroom and then springing into action. Superman putting a guy through a wall. The Batmobile driving up the side of a building (what happened once you reached the top?). Dolemite-level fight choreography in the “Knightmare” sequence. The “BOILING ACIIIIID!” guy. Lex Luthor and his Jolly Rancher. Nicole Kidman thinking she’s playing a psychiatrist in a porn movie. Superman and Batman BOTH making the decision to kill one another. Laundry karate. The jar of piss. Bat-nipples. Martha.

I guess I’ll say Batman Forever, by a narrow margin. At least it knows it’s a joke of a movie.

Batman Forever imo is the worst of the Batman solo flicks. There are aspects I really enjoy, like the opening and any scene that involves Nicole Kidman, because Nicole Kidman. I also like Kilmer's Bruce/Batman. But I'd easily take it over BvS, arguably the most rage inducing film in history for me.
