I went back and viewed Batman Begins and then went and saw SR, there is no question that Batman Begins is better. It just has a ton over SR in terms of sheer quality.

Batman Returns for one reason and one reason only:
Michelle Pfeiffer. She made an INCREDIBLE Catwoman.

But this is about Batman Returns

Batman Returns. It's quite simply Burton at his peak. By far my favorite comic book movie.

Superman Returns. I love BR, but SR tells a better story, better acting, better, well everything. Except villains. Man does Luthor suck on the big screen.

Batman Returns for catwoman

superman returns for the kid

I'll go with batman's return

i have to go with Batman Returns. i have a lot less problems with it compared to Superman Returns.

Superman Returns. It took a more modern realistic take on the character like Begins did for Batman while BR (though it was good) was still too grounded in Tim Burton's own twisted vision of Gotham and the Dark Knight.

Batman Returns is one of the greatest comic book films ever, whilst Superman Returns is a mediocre...perhaps average at best. Even with a MUCH bigger budget and more advanced special effects techniques and technology, BR > SR.

Superman Returns. It had Marlon Brando in it.

So? I know I'll get flamed for this, but Brando's nothing special. And Jor-El shoulda been recast like everyone else.

Agreed, Batman Returns.:batman::joker::hq:

But it'd be utterly pointless and do nothing but make an insanely costly film even more costly.

My problem with Batman Returns is that it marked the point where the villains were the focus of the movies instead of Batman.

I know Nicholson was huge in the first but he was alone and this allowed Keaton to at least come a close second.

I do not rate SR so I guess Bats is the winner.

Brando did nothing but enhance an already great film. He IS Jor-El.

Wonder if Brando would have wanted to appear in Returns though?

Can't see why not, but even so.....
