Speaking as an Australian, Americans should just stop trying to pull off Australian accents in everything. It is always, without exception, terrible and laughably bad. At least with Brits you guys can do RP, and on occasion cockney. Just hire an Australian voice actor next time.

Just finished Son of Batman

Animation was very choppy in some parts and the details of the plot are merely serviceable but overall I still enjoyed the movie, which is more than I can say about a lot of DC animated movies (TKDReturns, Flashpoint, and JL War aside).

Damien is just full of win, and it never got old watching the little psycho running around messing dudes up twice his size. The Damian/Bruce dynamic is just fun. His costume looked awesome as well. The voice actor wasn't 100%, but he was in the right ballpark and sold the character well overall. If anything, some of his lines just weren't Damian enough.

Jason O'Mara still sounds awesome, and I liked Talia, despite how hilariously ridiculous her cleavage was. Deathstroke was different but still enjoyable to watch. Great costume as well. Nightwing was also a welcome addition.

So, I havent watched this yet but I'm getting a ton of mixed messages here. You guys all seem to think this is by far DC's worst film but elsewhere its getting pretty good reviews....WHO DO I TRUST?!?!

Batman and Son was boring. It was totally flat. It needed to be flamboyant, and yet, even Damian was sleepwalking.

Also, assault on arkham looks pathetic design wise. It's a shame, considering DC made some stunning animated movies, like under the red hood and TDKR.

I liked it. Shows the main stars and emphasis on Batman to wider market appeal.

Weird that Son of Batman got a big reveal at the end of January and they are just trickling information out about this.

Didn't care for this version of Deathstroke. And that scene with Batman and Talia where he just keeps responding with one-word answers made him sound like a dumb dumb.

The Grant Morrison/Andy Kubert story that it is "based" on is really fun and entertaining. This one was just one of DC Directs many "Its ok to watch this once" films. The quality really is hit and miss on these things.

I think Damian was the best part of Son of Batman. The rest of it was meh. The kid they got to do Damian actually did a good job.

Jason O'Mara is a fine actor I think, but his Batman here was very kind of one note. I liked the scene with Talia and some of the stuff with Damian, but Batman doesn't even do all that much here. He's a very kind of inactive Batman. He never seems all that invested in Damian either.

Does Jason O' Mara sound kind of sleepy and monotonous in the role to anybody else? It's all a little drab.

Anthony Ruivivar goes for monotone but at least there is some emotional colour to his line readings.

I've seen it dubbed in french, and our french voice for Batman is always great. He's been voicing him since the Batman and in most animated movies, and also in video games.

Adrian Antoine dubbs for Batman in the batman, tbatb, the arkham games, year one, batman and son. I guess he'll also dubb the french version of beware the batman.

We have a different voice actor in the dark knight returns, since he's older in this one.

Wow Son of Batman is pretty terrible. This following Justice League War really has me wishing they'd just give up or get some new people involved in these features, which have mostly been terrible. I've no problem with them making changes to the source material in theory, but they seem to make horrific decisions when they try it. The sex innuendo in the dialogue was cringe inducing. Hated all the voice acting with the exception of Alfred, Gordon and Nightwing.
