Batman: TAS OST Release!!!

La-La Land Records is slated to ship the first in a possible series of Batman: The Animated Series soundtrack releases on December 16th, 2008, with pre-orders for the release starting next week, on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008. This is a limited edition collector's release of 3000 units and will be available only through the La-La Land Records website and other online soundtrack specialty stores. Roughly 100 autographed copies of the Batman: The Animated Series soundtrack release will only be available through the La-La Land Records site and are first-come, first-serve while supplies last, though not gauranteed. Orders will begin December 2nd at 12:00pm (PST). The release will also include a detailed 20-page booklet.

so you have to be online when the sale of this starts to even try to get a copy? I dont see anywhere on their site about this, am I missing something on there?

Also, is this a licensed WB release? or is this just "fan made" stuff? Youd think WB would have an official release for something like this.

Yeah you have to be online next Tuesday at 12:00, if you want to purchase it. With only 3000 available, you'd be best to order it quick on that day if you want to be on the safe side. The information to order the CD will be available on Tuesday.

And, this is an official release... Just like the recent DC Universe soundtracks.

I was talking to a guy from la la land records and he said the following
"Depending on the powers that be we have an idea for a 2nd and 3rd volume of music. Sadly, we do not control the rights and hope that WB will let us release more music.
We are looking for suggestions for these volumes though" If the audience reacts well, they would try to release several other volumes, and as for the tracklisting. I think its a good idea to make a board (here or on their site) to discuss what music from which episodes we'd like to get.
