No doubt you bat-fans are familiar with TAS...

i have heard a lot of talk that some bat-fans don't get this show! ! !???

Well, I think it's the best animated show EVER! ! ! !

SO I WAS WONDERING.... from a dark, serious POINT OF VIEW, WHAT ARE THE BEST, DARKEST EPISODES FROM THE SERIES....

I'll start: Robin's Reckoning I & II
A Second Chance
On Leather Wings
Mudslide
Feat of Clay I & II
NOTHING TO FEAR
THE DEMONS QUEST I & II
Two-Face I & II

Gotta be Two Face parts 1 and 2. It was really dark and scared the crap out of me as a kid. Looking at it now I still find it scary. It's so dark and brooding and intense.

Oh for sure Two Face pts I and II were insane. I'll venture to say quite possibly the best of the series. They just perfectly introduced the character. I know the origin was a little off, but the psychological downfall of Harvey Dent was perfectly done.

Almost Got 'Im
Joker's Favor
The Laughing Fish
Feat of Clay pts 1/2
Two Face pts 1/2
Mudslide
On Leather Wings

Not a dark episode, but to me Harley and Ivy is still one of my favorites.

I really enjoyed the Grey Ghost. Echo the other ones mentioned.

Exactly how I feel. I watched them again recently as research for an essay and an I was just like 'woah' it was so awsome. I hope they incorporate some of that into TDK.

The Laughin Fish is definetly up in my top episodes. It's kind of a full spectrum, it's hillarious, and suprisingly dark at times. My favorite part is the tv commercial for the laughing fish where the joker forces Harley to eat the fish, and then she runs off screen and pukes, couldn't stop laughing.

It also shows some of the eternal smile from the joker venom, that freaks me out every time, hope it's in TDK.

Omg! The Joker Sells Teh Fish! That Is So Campy!! Make Him Dark And Realistic!!!

^ lol... And teh basuit is teh puffy.

Dunno if it counts, but the bit in ROTJ where they show the flashback to the TAS era Batman, with Robin being kidnapped and all... That was awsome.

Pretty much all of it... its the reason i am and always will be a batman fan!! :woot:

Definitely. I always thought that Two-Face and Mr. Freeze were the best characters in B:TAS. On my DVD of Two-Face they talk about how they deliberately made a few episodes of him as Harvey so that the audience was even more emotionally invested in him before the change.

In addition to those already mentioned:

Perchance to Dream
Trial
Heart of Ice
Mad Love
Heart of Steel

I could go on; So much goodness.

Got to make cash somehow, and at least he's like killing off people by the hour until people give him the legal rights...yea kinda lame if you want gritty realisim, but still a great Hammill preformance (like always) and at very least one of the funniest episodes of the series.

I really love this series & I'm trying to find the DVD's but I'm not having any luck. For now I have to settle for watching the episodes on Youtube. Anyway, some of my favorite episodes are both parts of Two-Face origins episode & any episode with the Joker.

What... no love for Day of the Samurai and Night of the Ninja. Two classic, original episodes imho.

:batman: I liked Two-Face parts 1 & 2 because it tells the story of Harvey Dent and his transformation into the villain Two-Face.

Has anyone picked up Batman: Animated? It's an awesome look into the making of the series, and it's got a ton of detailed looks at almost every character from the series... Except it's $30, which may seem like a lot for a book, but I definitely reccoment picking it up. I found it at my local Barnes and Noble, but there was only one copy on the shelf.

Night of the Ninja and perchance to dream.

Night of the ninja showed a side of batman never seen before....dude was genuinely scared of facing off against that other dude who killed his sensei...
