BATMAN: The Animated Series (FAVORITES)

I love the episode "Night of the Ninja" because we learn a little more about Batman's past & when I first watched it, it was a real big mystery who the ninja was. I thought Ra's al Ghul was going to be behind it all.

Hey, does anyone have Youtube links to videos of episodes? I've only found a couple which are the Two-Face episodes, the episode with Joker & the casino & the episode "Mad Love". Thanks to anyone who posts links.

Night of the Ninja and perchance to dream.

Night of the ninja showed a side of batman never seen before....dude was genuinely scared of facing off against that other dude who killed his sensei...

Kyodai Ken never killed the sensei.

My favorite eps were ANY ep woithout Robin. Sorry, he just ruined it for me.

On Leather Wings.
Bane
Feat of Clay parts 1&2
Heart of Ice
Vendetta
The ep with the Werewolf (can't think of the name of it..and the one were Batmans on trial in Arkham....

The ep with the Werewolf (can't think of the name of it..and the one were Batmans on trial in Arkham....

It's called 'Moon the Wolf'. I didn't think anyone cared for that episode at all. Most people lump it with 'I've got Batman in my basement'.

Anyway, my favs would be:

- Heart of Ice
- Feat of Clay part 1&2
- Joker's Favour
- The Laughing Fish
- Almost got 'Im
- Trial
- Harley & Ivy
- Heart of Steel Part 1&2
- Showdown
- Second Chance

The introduction of Mr. Freeze, that whole arc as just beautiful and worthy of the emmy.

I found the Riddle eps, somewhat meh probably because of Robin.

'Read my Lips'-Mr.scareface ep was a fav too.
Heart of Steal.
The Cape and Cowl Conspiracy
Tyger, Tyger

I was never truly interested in the Riddler episodes, it's probably because I haven't ever cared for the Riddler's character.

Hmmmm, Riddler is a difficult one, the only good stories in all media are ones where he's deadly serious, yet we get this type of story once in a blue moon.

My favorites are the first scarecrow episode 'nothing to fear' it was one of the few eps that featured the elfman movie music in the episode rather than walker's version you heard later on. like when batman is fighting one of the goons in the bank vault you hear it just before scarecrow shoots him with the dart. oh and the whole effect of the fear drug on Bruce and hallucinating that his father thinks he is a failure etc. my favorite bit is the showdown during the party where the scared guests attack him and he goes after scarecrow (with more awesome elfman movie music) and him hanging from the cable hearing his fathers voice and the whole line of batman saying "No, no, you are not my father, i am not a disgrace, i am VENGEANCE, i am the NIGHT, I AM BATMAN!" :woot:. oh and seeing scarecrows reaction to the demon batman at the end is great too.

my other one is 'the last laugh' classic joker episode with joker spreading laughing gas on the city so he can have a crime spree. one of the best sidekicks Captain Clown :hehe:. and the classic elfman movie music when batman is chasing joker into the smelting plant in the junkyard near the end.

I am SO glad i have the 3 pre TNBA episode volumes on dvd. I plan on getting the 4th volume in the near future.

they used to use that "I am vengance" line in the ads around here, dont know if they used it nationally, but the local ones did, when it was in syndication.

I thought Riddler's "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich" episode was great. I loved seeing Batman and Robin going thru that maze, working together, doing lots of detective work to beat Riddler's maze.

The animation wasn't the best in that episode, but the story was good.

I've never truly cared for the Riddler's character but I will admit that was a pretty good episode.

I was watching On Leather Wings today, I'd forgotten how lousy that first Alfred voice was. Hahaha

What was the name of the episode where these comedians suddenly became criminals, Batman and Robin think it's Mad Hatter only to find out it was Joker behind it?

Also, of all the villains, who's been in the most episodes?

I think Joker was in the most episodes.

I thought he died in one of the jlu episodes or something...

I must be getting confused...
Some Sensei died in JLU, the Deadman episode.

I think he came back to the life in the end though, if I remember right.

Ruport Thorne has definately been in it the most, villan wise.

I just wish Mr.Scareface has an extra ep.

I also like the first ep featuring 'Killer Croc', and 'Lock-up'. Lock-up is definately Batman gone bad!

I really did like Rupert Thorne's role in the series, he was like Batman's Kingpin. It's too bad he hasn't been portrayed too well in "The Batman". Such a waste of a great character.

I learned something new today! There's a place where you can rent second rate movies and books for free! It's called a library!

sorry, but i've been looking for BTAS on DVD for a while, without having to order it on the internet, and yesterday I found the whole first season there on DVD! So that's what I'll be doing the next couple of days.

He actually wasn't. Joker featured in more episodes than Thorne did.

When I was a few years younger & I watched the show the Joker really creeped me out (not to the point that I was actually scared though). The show really surprised me with how dark it truly was & it will probably be helmed as the best animated Batman show of all time.
