Batman & the Mad Monk thread

Yeah, a trilogy would be nice. But I think I'm going to be a little more greedy than that. They should definitely give Wagner an ongoing that follows the early career of Batman. Wagner seems to write a very solid early Batman, so why fight it? :o

I read an Matt Wagner interview by Jett, I want to read this comic book from start but is it available in full graphic novel?

Have you read Monster Men yet? That would probably be a good starting point if you want to read this mini. And I'm not sure when it'll be released in TPB.

After reading the interview, I'm interested to read.

Batman and the Monster Men is out in TPB.

Batman and the Mad Monk will be out in TPB in April.

I really hope he does another one and completes a trilogy.

The end of Mad Monk has him talking about a warehouse with bodies, suggesting it's the one at the start of TMWL. So unfortunately I think this is over. Give him Batman Confidential I say.

Finally read the last of this run (I've been working like a very bored dog), and I must say that I loved it. Wagner really seems to know how to give a great "pay off" at the end of his stories, where other writers seem to be masters of anti-climax. I'd love to see Wagner's approach to the genisis of Robin.

For me, Batman is currently all about Wagner and Dini. Morrison is always interesting, but rarely gratifying. Like a girl with a nice smile but fat thighs.
