Batman: The Telltale Series

That's awesome news!

Who would have thought that...im seriously surprised.
I mean its a logical step that someone buys the rights, assets and stuff...would be a waste not to.
But somehow i didnt thought about that.

Good news, wolf among us deserves more attention.
As for a batman game...eh i dont really need it...wasnt too into telltales batman despite its cool idea and design.
But we will see.

Wow, thats totally unexpected. I hope we get another Wolf Among Us first

Well that's some cool news right there. Possibly some more Batman and Wolf Among Us would be great

Wolf Among Us 2 and Batman season 3 were the biggest losses for me when Telltale went under, really hope this means we'll get to continue those stories. A Tales From the Borderlands revival at some point would also be fantastic.

They need to rethink their business model and not fall into the same trap that ruined TTG
.
1. For one, they need to get all funding to complete a game upfront. What TTG did was release games episodically which was done so they could make money as they were making the games.

2. Going off of #1, they should have the games complete before release. I prefer an episodic model but if they are complete, they can then release them on an actually timely schedule. A drop every 2 weeks would be ideal

3. Hold off on announcing games too soon. We would hear about games years before they were out and some never were released. Announcements should only be made after a game's complete season is out.

4. They need to be selective about who they partner with. TTG made too many deals with too many companies and they didnt have the means to actually support these deals. Committing to less projects would be better than committing to alot and failing to meet expectations

5. For god's sakes fix the engine! They have all the assets but I really hope they dont rush into development by taking the engine that exists and using it. Considering we are about to enter a new gen, they should make a new one geared towards that. I know past TTGs sold well bc they could literally run on everything but they should leave that mentality behind and focus on delivering the best experience possible. It doesnt need to be the most technically demanding but mobile shouldnt be the lowest denominator they aim for. Supermassive and Quantic Dream have done amazing work in this space and they should aim to match them in terms of production quality.

It's really not awesome. The people that bought the Telltale brand and its IPs werent involved in the company prior to its closure and they arent hiring the original staff back as official employees. Theyve said some will be brought back as freelance. And there resume isnt good either

"Ottilie was the founder and CEO of Galaxy Pest Control, which worked with such licensed properties as Duck Dynasty and Power Rangers, while Waddle had previously ran sales and marketing for the Havok game engine."

So all this really is is a guy that worked on a Duck Dynasty game and a sales manager for a game engine buying a brand name.

yea but the original TTG wasnt doing amazing in its last years. There was a drop in quality and the material put out wasnt that great. I think new blood on these properties with a new business mindset could be a good thing.

I still think it's awesome. It means we'll probably be getting another Telltale style Batman. :hehe:

If it sucks, then I'll let you know after I play it. Until then, I'm happy at the prospect of a game franchise that I thought died just last year.

So this dropped today. New DLC for Batman: Telltale. I haven't checked, but the trailer says it's available now on Steam and Xbox.I'm gonna check it out later, cause I played on Xbox.
