@KnightRise: I agree with you that Batman is fantastically amazing and the fact that he is mortal is what makes him even more awe inspiring. Okay? But you cannot sit there and tell me that a literal demon from hell is going to kneel before him in submission. More than likely Freddy would just get angry that Bats lasted a while and that anger would lead him to killing Batman. I'm not trying to tear you down, but the reality of the matter is that Freddy would almost certainly win. Of course there are a few things Batman could do to possibly win, but most of those are more far fetched than anything, so I don't really count them. (Although it would be GREAT to see Crane teaching Bats! :D)

Like i said freddy only real weakness is that he play before he kills.

Freddy's only real weakness is that he goes for Teens/children because he overpowers them easier than adults.

Because majority of teenagers/children do not have the mindset of adults; Freddy can't overpower adults, when he has, it's been when he's had the advantage; First movie, mother was drunk in bed, third movie he had the fear of Nancy and the pysch ward kids' fear to feed off of which made him strong enough to take out Nancy and her dad, sixth movie did you notice all of the teens were gone from Springwood but all the parents/adults remained. The only movie where he really killed adults was New Nightmare, where he just caught all of them off guard.

In all of the comics he's appeared in, he's only killed about 3 maybe 4 adults and countless teens/children.
It's part of his M.O.

Freddy kills the kids because that what wes wanted, makes him more evil.

Exactly. It's not that Freddy isn't strong enough to kill the adults. He just doesn't care enough about them. He likes to play with the kiddies and kill them. Like spider13 said, Wes Craven did that intentionally to make him more evil.

Yeah i agree with you that in the dream world freddy is doomed hands down, but If you've seen freddy dead the final nightmare you would see that you don't have to fear freddy for him to get you.

Okay I need to explain what goes on in this movie: Freddy kills every kid in springwood and drives the people in the town insane. Now freddy is trying to leave springwood so he gets the help of a young man to help him. In this film freddy brings people from one place to anouther place by using there dreams, He also bends reality and takes control of people and brainwashes people. Also there is a scene where they take him out of the dreamworld and he's crawling on the ceiling like spider man so I wouldn't say he has no powers in the realworld.

Isn't that inconsistent with the first movie? My general rule of canonicity is, whichever is shown in the better movie (or comic or whatever) is better, takes precedence.

How would Batman be able to wake himself up though? Maybe if he was lucid dreaming. But Freddy has shown that even in lucid dreams he's basically omnipotent.

That may depend. I could see Batman pretty much going into battle in the dream world with equipment like Inception. When he gets his opportunity to rip Freddy into the real world, he gets a kick to wake him up.

Hey I like batman don't get me wrong. Batman would have to willing be going in to get freddy. And freddy can read minds, freddy only real weakness is that he feels he has to toy with his victims. If batman came in prepared and used freddy's toying to his advange he could win.

That is why he doesn't simply annihilate the victim outright.

Let's look over what has defeated Freddy.

Fear being overcome.
True love's kiss.
Holy water and a burial of his human remains.
His reflection.
His mother trapping him.
Getting stabbed by his daughter and explosions.
Getting locked in a furnace burning to death.
Beheaded by Jason Voorhee's machete.
Slit throat with chopped off hand burning to death.
Ash using the Necronomicon to banish him from the world; twice.

Batman will do fine.

Agreed. Especially if Batman's prepared to do it.

The problem with this plan is that Batman would have to already know that Freddy was after him and be ready to **** him up from the get-go. That's not usually how it happens, though. Usually you don't even realize Freddy's a real demon guy that's actually going to kill you if you don't find a way to beat him... And fast.

Well I go with all the material so I don't know what to tell you.
