Batman:Year One (the movie that would have been)

A year one movie would've been a way better movie than BB. The characters and everything is just better, it just goes to show what they come up with in the comic books is way better than what they come up with for the movies. Year One could've been done, and The Long Halloween as a sequel, followed by Dark Victory, it all would've been better than that Nolan crap.

I don't care what anyone says, Nolan's films are dull. No imagination and his Batman lacks that Batman spirit. Burton got it right.

Just a few tweaks here and there and YO, TLH, and DV would've been great!

Man, a Tarantino Batman movie would be so f**king insane that I'd kill to see it. :woot:

A guy shot and killed someone for cutting in line at the popcorn stand when Batman premiered in 89.

-Just watched Batman 89 Enhanced on AMC.

So, nobody saw the Wachowski's treatment of "Year One"? As you can see, I'm trying to create a thread within a thread.

Catwoman seems closer to her BTAS counterpart (an animal rights activist) in her opening scene in that treatment, when she tries to free those cats who are being experimented on. Wachowski's removed the positute angle completely, it seems.

All and all, good treatment. I wouldn't had minded seeing that on the big screen.

Why use Tarintino to direct "Year One" when you can have the Wachowski Bros instead? Here's a link of their proposal:

Are you sure this is a legit treatment? Because the only thing I heard about the Wachowski Brothers being involved was when WB asked if they would do it, they said no because they wanted to do the Matrix sequals instead. I don't think they ever got far enough into discussions to actually write a Batman treatment, it was basically a question and answer type of thing. Of course I could be wrong and if so could you enlighten me about the real situation.

I don't see how everyone is talking about how great Year One could have been but are complaining because the Joker has a cut smile.

Year One included:
-Batman driving a Lincoln town car
-Batman's cowl was made out of a hockey mask
-Alfred was a jive-talking black guy
-Bruce wore dentures because he teeth were busted out
-Selina Kyle was black
-The batcave was not a cave but an underground pipe system that Bruce used

When Bruce was dressed in the costume they did an alright job of staying close to the comics. Bruce himself, however, was nothing like his comic counterpart.

But, Gordan was outstandingly written.

That was the script that crackhead Darren Aronfonsky made. I wish WB hadn't rejected the Wachowski's proposal on YO. That treatment was awesome!

I would have hated to see Aronofsky's yr 1. Bruce Wayne is homeless, Alfred is called Big Al, the Batmobile is...is....eww...and everything about it i think would have sucked, sucked, sucked!
