Battle of the Comic Book Films Tournament(2020 Edition)

Logan

Lil X-23 was a force to be reckoned with, lol.

I love the part where she's eating cereal and she looks up at the security cameras to see the mercenaries approaching the base.

I'm like "ya'll all gona die, lol".

Oh man, the toughest one yet for me, both in my top 5 and absolutely love both.

But I think Spider-Man 2 just, and I mean JUST edges it for me.

They are really close but I think I'm going to give a slight edge to Infinity War.

As phenomenal and groundbreaking as The Avengers was, I gotta give this one to Infinity War. Only a few theater goings will stick with me for life, and seeing this on opening night is one of them. We've never had, before this, a movie where the heroes lose, leaving the entire audience in despair.

As much as I do love Infinity War the first Avengers just holds a special place in my heart. Infinity War is still my second favorite MCU film, but The Avengers will always be my number 1 because it was such a game changer and one of the best theatrical experiences I have ever had with a sold-out crowd on opening day. Just seeing all those heroes coming together for the first time was something truly magical too, especially "The Avengers Assemble" moment.

Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers is one of my favorite MCU movies, a well told story but one can argue that IW is better in pretty much every single aspect.

Infinity War is so well executed. Especially the suspense, action and Thanos.

For example, when Tony Stark goes outside after visiting Dr. Strange and there's complete chaos in the streets you really feel like it's an invasion and the grim reality sets in, there are only a few people who stand between Thanos and Earth's population. It's such a dark, suspenseful movie with some of the best action scenes ever made. And unlike most MCU films the movie is a nonstop rollercoaster. All three acts are truly great.

Thanos also remains one of the best villain portrayals. Centering the film around Thanos was a masterstroke. And the Gamora/Thanos scenes pack an emotional punch. Which kinda gets overlooked in this action epic.

I love Avengers but Winter Soldier and Infinity War are by far the best MCU flicks.

So yeah, I vote for IW.
