Battle of the Comic Book Films Tournament(2020 Edition)

Neither are good films, but man I really do think Steel has more entertainment value, because its so hilariously bad just like Kazaam. Both movies hold a special place in my childhood too lol.

I adore Helen Slater and am a huge fan of Shaq. But wow, these movies were bad. Steel might’ve been more tolerable until he had to basically hit a free throw to save the day during the climax.

still I go with Steel.

Supergirl advances.

Monkeybone

Demon Knight hands down! I mentioned my love for it a few pages back when Bordello of Blood was up. Billy Zane is great in it. And like you said Kaiju I feel it’s pretty underrated.

Never saw Monkeybone so I will vote a Tombstone for best film starring Lowell Mather.

I guess I abstain

I really do enjoy The Golden Army, but my vote has to go to Blade II, because that movie is just awesome IMO, although the first Blade is probably my favorite overall. To me its honestly kind of sad that those movies don't get the same recognition these days as some of Del Toro's more prestige films.

Now, don't get me wrong I liked Pan's Labyrinth and The Shape of Water, but its not like those are my favorites of his or the only ones worth talking about.

Good matchup. Good sequels.
I love both movies and have rewatched them many times.

It’s a though choice. I love both characters, Blade and Hellboy are so cool. As much as I like the Hellboy fantastical world and GDT inspiration I’ll go for the more grounded Blade 2.

I vote Blade 2.
If I remember correctly is also a tighter, more rewatchable and overall better movie.

Absolutely love both movies and they are SO under rated as CBMs. And both better than their predecessors for me.

But have to give the edge to Hellboy II
