Bayonetta 2

Unless its MGS, the other countries are doing it bigger right now.

Bayonetta 2 Sold Through 67% Of Its Shipment. September 26, 2014 . 11:31am

Japanese sales tracker Media Create says that Bayonetta 2 sold through 67.29% of its shipment.

Last week, Nintendo released Bayonetta 2 in Japan. The game sold 38,828 copies in its first week, and Japanese sales tracker Media Create says that it sold through 67.29% of its shipment.

As detailed in our previous coverage of the game’s sales, Bayonetta 2 sold far less than the original Bayonetta at launch (135,242 copies on PlayStation 3 and 64,325 copies on Xbox 360). Media Create says that this is partly due to the differences between the Wii U and PS3 (and 360′s) audiences, but also the difference in the size of their userbases.

When Bayonetta was released, the PlayStation 3 had sold 3.73 million units in Japan. Meanwhile, the Wii U has only sold 1.93 million units in the territory thus far.

Clearly, Nintendo was prepared for this. At this point, I think the only thing fans can hope for is Bayonetta as DLC for Smash for a boost.

Anyway, it lets me get Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2. I think I'm going to get this before Hyrule Warriors.

She's not going to end up in Smash. I really don't think that is or was ever a real possibility.

Link is going to be in Mario Kart. I don't know what to believe anymore.

Pretty different situation, though. I mean, I guess it's not impossible, but I think the odds are pretty low. Really, the only third party characters they seem interested in bringing in are classic ones from long running franchises

I just saw a really, really cool homage to a Nintendo game in Bayonetta 2.

If Bayonetta does majorly well in the west and they make a sequel to it as a long running series she'll be added to other games or make cameo's .

How ever, with how certain fans out side of this here forum, talk on not wanting that to ever happen (Bayonetta being apart of Nintendo the same way Metriode or Zelda and how Xeno blade has recently become apart of it to a degree now )....

Bayonetta can never be apart of Nintendo in that way, because she's not owned by Nintendo. This game is pretty much a 1st party title, true, but the overall Bayonetta IP is still owned by Sega. Until Nintendo buys the IP lock, stock, and barrel from them, that is not a real possibility.

Besides, we need to see how it actually does in the west to begin with before discussing such lofty goals.

Oddly enough, Hyrule Warriors made me want to play Bayonetta pretty bad.

I'm sort of debating on getting the hardcover Prima strategy guide. I mean, it's not like I couldn't find that info on the internet (I honestly don't how Prima has stayed in business; they can't sell that many of these), but I just want all the Bayonetta. I may even buy the anime when it comes Stateside even though the story of Bayonetta makes none of the sense.

I buy the hardcover Zelda guides. Don't need em, but damn if they don't look cool.

So, apparently, I am reading that in the JP and EU releases, they not only got both games on disc, they actually came in two separate cases, too. The NA release has been confirmed to be on disc, too, really hoping they go that extra step as well. Would love to have Bayonetta with a case and everything.

Im opposite. Id rather they both be on the same disc if possible and in one case

Nah, screw that. I want both of these fine games in a case, side-by-side on the same system, on my shelf. You don't even have a Wii U, so it doesn't affect you anyway. This is our problem, son :cmad:

Unless you're buying this despite not having a Wii U, which is commendable.

Chill out. Im not buying a Wii U or this game. I was just given my overall opinion on that practice when it happens

Oh hell yes. I don't even care if the basement still smells like paint.

My roommate has been doing some work around the house. Did some painting in the basement, where my Wii U is hooked up to the big TV.

Sidenote, this game is INSANE. And GORGEOUS. I love it. So going to burn through the demo this weekend.

I hope you have windows down there and I hope they were open

Ah, okay.

Yeah, the demo is awesome. It's nothing new, believe this was actually the footage shown from last year's E3 if I'm not mistaken, but it's all good. I'm going to play it a time or two more before the full game hits to get the controls down.
