I went to gamestop and they said the 80 gig version is not available until MGS4 comes out in a bundle. I was wondering if the 40 gig can play all my old PS2 games?
WTF IS THAT ****! Sony would have had a sale and yet I find another reason never to buy a PS3.
then buy the PS3 that can play PS2 games. Its as simple as thatWTF IS THAT ****! Sony would have had a sale and yet I find another reason never to buy a PS3.
Where can I get a PS3 that can play PS2 games? Weren't they discontinued?
The Motorstorm bundled was discontinued but a MGS4 bundle will be released in June to take its place. Id suggest either waiting or just continue using your PS2 to play those games (and Im assuming you have one)Where can I get a PS3 that can play PS2 games? Weren't they discontinued?
No, I sold my ps2 almost a year ago but kept the games because of possibly purchasing a PS3. I waited this long to buy a PS3 because I wanted to be 100% sure that Blu-ray won the format war.
I have no interest in MGS4 because I've never played any of the old MGS games but I have been thinking about getting a PS3 and picking up the old MGS games to get familiar with the story.
I really don't care anymore. Sony is just screwing with it's gamers and I won't buy into that garbage. The fact that they did a price drop not because they wanted to pull in new customers but because they were putting out an inferior console is total BS.
yeah and MGS4 is an extra and if someone doesnt want it, just sell it off on Ebay. I dont get complaining about not wanting to buy a system bc of the game that comes with itI really don't get your anger. They give you the option of paying the extra $100 for the 80GB which IS BC. It isn't like the the 40GB is the only system you can find now so quit your whining. I am sure you can still find the 80GB for $500 at stores and online. I was just saying your going to be paying at $500 for a BC system at this point so why not wait another 2 months and you get a PS3 game and the Dualshock controller for the same money spent. People were *****ing and complaining about how much the PS3 was when it first came out and when Sony finally offers a solution for them it isn't good enough. The PS3 is more than just a gaming system it is a whole multimedia center so it is well worth the price IMO. If you don't like it well then I guess that is too bad. As for me I have practically been enjoying my PS3 on a daily basis.
Actually it's getting increasingly harder to find the 80 gig. And it was incredibly stupid of them to discontinue it before the MGS4 bundle shipped.
Why would they continue to sell the Motorstorm bundle when they have a new bundle, which is better coming out? They discontinued it to get rid of the current stock, so they only have 1 by the time the MGS4 bundle comes out. If they had both out there, the Motostorm bundle probably wouldn't sell. It has an old game and lacks the Dualshock 3 controller. Its basic business and theres nothing dumb about that. So they stop making them for a few months. Its not like that system is gone for goodActually it's getting increasingly harder to find the 80 gig. And it was incredibly stupid of them to discontinue it before the MGS4 bundle shipped.
Right now, where I live, it is impossible to find an 80gig PS3. I have had people asking for them, and have had to explain the difference between the 40 and 80 gig models, ending with them buying an Xbox 360 instead. Sony were fools to cancle is so early, as there is demand for which they have no supply for. It was a bad idea.
Losing sales? Go check out the NPD numbers for the past few months. Sales for the PS3 are better than ever and higher than they were pre-holiday season. The current $399 price tag has been working for themNo I wont. But that doesnt help them now, does it? It doesnt change the fact that they are currently losing sales, because they discontinued the current 80 gig much too soon.
Yes. Cause moms buying it for there kids birthday know about newegg, and want to get it online . I can only talk from personal experience here, but I've had alot of upset customers over the cancelation of the 80 gig bundle.
Yes, you're done with me as you have no real argument here. Congratulations, I won.
I would think that most moms would opt to get the cheaper version which is $100 less.Yes. Cause moms buying it for there kids birthday know about newegg, and want to get it online .
