This is soooo not needed. I liked the previous attempt by Singer. It was a good film, no doubt!
How can they possibly do better? By making the character younger, the way he was meant to be? Yeah, but we got that with Into The Woods.
If there's ANY fairy tale that should get another shot at live action, it's Hansel & Gretel. That story deserves to be told in a way that does it justice. And by that, I mean the REAL fairy tale, not a re-imagination with witch hunting grown ups that makes Hugh Jackman's Van Helsing look like Oscar Award winning material when compared.
