But none of these recent fairy tale movies have excited me. Beauty and the Beast sounds really cool, but then again that's one of my favorite ones

Again, I cant really complain because I just ignore them, but it seems like there has been a very strong push for them lately and none of them make much of an impact. They might do well financially, but I feel that they become largely forgotten

This is soooo not needed. I liked the previous attempt by Singer. It was a good film, no doubt!
How can they possibly do better? By making the character younger, the way he was meant to be? Yeah, but we got that with Into The Woods.

If there's ANY fairy tale that should get another shot at live action, it's Hansel & Gretel. That story deserves to be told in a way that does it justice. And by that, I mean the REAL fairy tale, not a re-imagination with witch hunting grown ups that makes Hugh Jackman's Van Helsing look like Oscar Award winning material when compared.
