beat superman

ka-el couldn't be plugged into the matrix due to his dna, or at least a matrix on earth...

if you are saying there is a person who is part of the matrix who has been given the same abilities as superman, then they wouldn't be superman, they would only be programmed to think they were superman, thus raising the point that their par take in this would be somewhat void.

hence why i said superman program.

meh, i don't see the point in this, i'm just posting for the sake of it.

:o

I see you missed that little point wallace raised earlier.
I suppose it could be done; use Kryptonite to drill the holes, do it quickly & plug him in before he heals. Does he heal quickly?

in the comic books, not sure about the film...

i also feel the whole would heal up unless there was kryptonite around permanently...

but since humans are harvested, i don't see how he would get into their mainframe in the first place since his surface landing would have him being found by sentinels and destroyed.

Hhhhhhhmmmmm, how should I put this???

Yes you are plugged in to the matrix but...

...your an eggplant.

To the person who said Wolverine, Wolverine can't cut Superman. Oh and any character who is a skilled magic user could defeat Superman (Gandalf, Merlin)

Agreed.

I don't think it would matter if he could, anyway. Superman is way too fast for Wolverine. Recently Wolverine fought Marvel comics' Sentry. The fight did not go well for Wolverine at all.

That's kind of a cheat, don't you think? ANYBODY could beat Superman with a piece of kryptonite! You, me, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, my 7-year-old son, Paris Hilton-come on! He can't get near the stuff. It's not like a vampire w/silver, where you'd have to actually wound them with it.

but who else could obtain kryptonite? :cwink: Luthor and Wayne are the only 2 people in the DCU that are able to get their hands on it.
and Superman in Returns seemed to do okay getting near kryptonite to hurl a continent made of it into the sun.

I haven't seen SR but watching him struggle with that plane makes me doubt his ability to take the Hulk.

he uprooted a continent and threw it into space. he could take the hulk.

I think pitting Neo against Supes is silly. Neo only has his power in the matrix, so that's out. As for other Superheros or villians, i say not many. I know Phoenix can take him out, and probably Prof X and Rogue.

You're not listening! THIS IS THE MATRIX!!!! You, me, Superman, Neo - we are all in the Matrix and Neo IS the One. Sorry Superman - you lose.

If Dr. Polaris can drain SM's solar energy so can Magneto and he doesnt have a split personality.

Magneto easy as well as DR. light

Spawn
Violator
Ghost Rider
I don't think Supes can contend w/mystic forces.

there's nothing in the films that can prove that, you're using comic logic for film character analysis.

if that was the case, why didn't magneto drain cyclop's solar energies during any of their encounters in the first film since his own powers are based on his exposure to the son?

of course i am falling for the same trap I just told off chris for assuming film cyclops gathered powers from his optic beams in the same way as his comic counter part

so if you wish to use that as a defence, i won't hold it against you.

Maybe, but there's nothing in the films that disproves it either.

I didn't know cyke got his power from Jesus! jk:woot:

You are correct about the comic logic.

Though Magneto has not used his power in the same way in the movies does not mean he can't.

The comic version has been around alot longer give him time.

Uh-uh. If that were the case then Mystique wouldn't have had to give that guard that heavy iron injection. In the comics Magneto has been able to manipulate the normal iron levels in a person's blood.

And how did Dr. Polaris end up after that encounter? Defeated. No way can Magneto take Superman that way.

To be fair, Dr. Polaris is the bad guy, & the bad guy can't winin comics, especially a DC comic where good & evil are so clearly defined.
And in any event you're applying comic logic to movies, & there's a line between the two.
