Look, i'm not saying im right, i'm just giving a possible idea that the symbiote absorbs the suit;

1) We see it overwhelming Peter who is asleep on his bed, in his spider-man costume. We see the symbiote take on the design of the suit.

2) Later when we see Peter tearing the suit off, the red and blue appear to be gone and everything is black and slimey. Note, if the costume is under there, it is being torn apart to, which brings me to...

3) If that was Petes only suit, then it was in great shape after the fact that it was being torn apart in the bell tower, a little beat up looking in the scene where he's restrained to a structure with black webbing around his neck. Somehow I don't think Peter simply picked up the remains of the suit after getting rid of the symbiote, goes home and sews it up to look nice.

Remember, these are observations, in no way, shape or form am I saying that I am right and that anyone is wrong.

i'm just making room for a discussion, it's only questioning your views for the sake of it, it's not like i'm saying mine are better than yours

i'm merely keeping discussion open so others can come and place their two cents to try and unravel it all

Oh no, don't take it the wrong way, that's not what i'm saying. But we've been here long enough to know there are those that would act like that.

:yay:

Hmmm. I really like the ripping in the full trailer:hyper: :woot: .
Only thing I can't seem to understand, is, where in shell does he get a new suit, if he ripps off this one...*thinks*? Does he just run away, shamelessly showing his posterior to Venom....?
Or maybe the symbiote duplicates the suit, and Pete just gets a new one:hyper: (hence the scene, where he looks in a trunk/box with the black suit).

Any**

The new one looks better because we actually see that the symbiote lives.

he does seem to be struggling less to get it off though, the tendrils effects make it look like its coming off quite easily in comparison to the rough struggle of having to rip through the actual rubber costume of the first one.

but that's just me.

i thought the symbiote lived with the costume which is why i find that struggle more appealing.

In the first spiderman-teaser trailer, we saw peter trying to rip his costume off at the bell tower scene and it actually felt like he was ripping material through, as if he was struggling to get out of a straightjacket or something.

now in my eyes this gave the impression that the symbiote hand bonded with his suit and it was the material he was having problems with getting off himself.

Now in this theatrical trailer, when the same scenes are shown again, it would seem cgi has been added and it also seems much longer than previously anticipated. The cgi has tendrils and more visual shots of the black gooey symbiote leaking out from the suit before it has come off which to me give more of a impression that the symbiote IS the suit and peter is trying to force the bond of the symbiote physically off himself.

It says in one of the older comics that the suit first covered Spidey's original suit, but then without him knowing it consumed it and moved on to controlling and latching on to Peter's own body. Maye this is the same case in the film? idk?

I muched preffered how it looked in the teaser....
Looked cheesy in the Theatrical

In the cartoon when the sym came off, Peter was standing there in his underwear for some reason.

Otherwise when he rips the suit off he should be naked. RIGHT?

I love the ripping in the theatrical trailer alot more than the teaser trailer .

Contrasting:

• Lighting. Teaser is darker in contrast; but theatrical has a bit of a darker suit.
• The webbing. Theatrical has less webbing on the suit than teaser.
• CGI. Theatrical obviously has CGI symbiote running through the suit, unlike teaser.

In The Theatrical , You can see The symbiote is fighting to bond with Peter compleatly, Where as in The Teaser it's not . Peter is fighting with all of his strenght to break away from the Symbiotes Hold on him Just like in TAS .

I think the latest version of that scene we've been shown has been the superior version. We should be given the impression that ripping the symbiote off is physically painful for Peter, because it's become so closely bonded to him. What we saw in the teaser just looked like he was ripping off the black suit.

In the teaser, what we saw was with no special effects. In the trailer, we've been shown a preliminary version of the final scene, with the tendrils and stringiness of the symbiote (those tendrils look pretty damn cool, if you ask me).

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to debate about this scene... it's obviously still evolving as the effects are finished up.

I foresee a comical scene following this one as naked Peter tries to get home :p

the amazing bagman. but without the f4 costume for licensing reasons.

I just think it gives perhaps a mixed message about the symbiote's interaction with humans and how it gains controls over peeps.

Let's let the movie come out before you decide that the movie gives mixed messages. We've seen, what, under 5 minutes of film footage and even less than that of Peter's interaction with the symbiote?

Trailers always are ambiguous or misleading or mixed in their information, as it creates intrigue and anticipation.

If they had the complete explanation of the symbiote in the trailer (i.e., they made it very clear how the symbiote interacts with people, etc.), then, when that explanation came up in the movie, it would be just rehashing what we learned in the trailer and there would be no intrigue or awe or anything.

I agree with Kal. The symboite is trying to permanently bond with Peter...and I don't think it bonded with Pete's original costume. At first, yeah...but after that, it remembered the make-up of his costume and duplicated it.

I'm thinking when the symboite reaches Eddie, he's filled with rage and his emotions give off the outrageously, monster look that is Venom. The host's emotions fuel the symboite...right? Or is it the symboite that's p'od and controlling Eddie (movie-verse wise)

Thanks to Mr. Lex Luthor [for The GIFs]

Peter is trying to get back his humanity [What's left of it , The Good side of his soul.]

While The Symboite is trying to regain control of The Dark side of Peter's soul, theirfore compleatly taken over Bonding with him forever .]

I only liked the new one better because of the screeching symbiote noise towards the end... it sounded cool and went well with the wiggly symbiote material

i defenitley love the theatrical trailers symbiote getting ripped off, the goo is so cool!.

when he rips it in the theatrical, it seems to have a better affect and clings onto him more

I like the version in the trailer. It makes the suit seem more alive.
