Stop the presses! UNTITLED WB EVENT FILMS are now set for 9/27/19 and 2/7/20.

How about they title them. I'm getting tired of these "guess the release date!" games.

Yes. He had that place outside the Manor in The Dark Knight. He didn't use the cave. Also it wasn't built anything like what it was The Dark Knight Rises. So yes he did.

In TDK he was staying in a penthouse in heart of the city. A bit too inconvenient to go back to the cave all the way to the outskirts just to be Batman.

The cave in Rises just has more stuff in it. Otherwise it looks the same.

Well, whenever production starts, hopefully Affleck gets all the breathing room he can muster. I say the same with someone like Jenkins and Wonder Woman, but I think Affleck may have a bit more pull with his resume as a director, not to mention audiences' reception to his take on Bruce Wayne.

Honestly, re-watching the trailer for Live By Night makes me hope we get a real crime drama Batman or emphasis on the world's greatest detective, but we will see.

I think he wants to temper expectations, but considering the news came from the new cast member himself -- the timeline is as I thought it would be.

Certain this will be that October 2018 date.

Maybe he is just playing coy to dampen expectations, and if I'm honest I wouldn't blame him doing that, this is the type of movie that's out of his comfort zone. I will say though it seems odd to me just about everyone is confirming things and yet he seems to be playing it all down. I really hope WB isn't trying to push him to be ready by a certain date. I get wanting to have movie release dates set but if you want quality from him he's got to be afforded the time to get it right.

Here's what he said previously:

"I think they have a date for it. Although, I don’t know if I would necessarily be able to make that date because I don’t have a script that’s ready yet. So that’s my—my timetable is I’m not going to make a movie until there’s a script that I think is good because I’ve been on the end of the things when you make movies when you have a script that’s not good yet and it doesn’t pan out.

I have a script, we’re still working on it, and I’m not happy enough with it yet to actually go out there and make a Batman movie, for which I have the highest of standards, I would say. That’s something that would have to pass a very high bar for me. It’s not just like, ‘Yeah, that might be fun, let’s go try this out."

So then why wouldn't he re-open his extra hidden cave from Dark Knight and stay in the penthouse if he's going to war with Bane in Gotham?
