It may be a new Batfleck theme, but it has all the hallmarks of previous musical work done for him (lack of melodies, obnoxious percussions).
It's very well done !
I just want to single out Wallfisch's efforts on this movie. He poured a lot of effort into writing it and he did a bang up job -- the movie is a lot more enjoyable (even the infamous baby shower sequence). I wish his main Flash theme had been more memorable -- why he didn't use Elfman's from the 1990 show or JL? His Supergirl theme is wonderful though, as is his numerous arrangements and fragments of Keaton's Batman theme. And the fact that he used a specific ensemble to record give the score that prestigious sheen that Williams' Superman and Elfman's Batman have.
Wallfisch's wholehearted embrace of Elfman's themes here is a direct 180 from Michael Giacchino's overly restrained score for NWH. Can you imagine a Wallfisch-scored NWH? He'd prominently quote Tobey and Andrew's themes when appropriate while keeping Holland's theme front and center.
