!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? ....I was in complete agreement w/you? Did you misunderstand me, or do you dislike sarcasm???

Here's the worst performance of a superhero this year and perhaps of all time:

George Clooney = Academy Award Accepting Supermartyr/Environmentalist**

lets not forget about steel, that has to be up there with the worst
I'd have to make a pretty big assumption, since I never saw "Steel", nor do I ever intend to.

As far as TV shows go, and this being a DC character, I think John Wesley Shipp was great as Barry Allen/The Flash.

Best: Christian Bale as Batman

Worst: Shaq as Steel

Toby's good, but he has a monotone voice which make's Spidey's wisecracks fall flat to me.

There's bad casting and there's bad acting.

Best -- Tom Jane as the Punisher, Chris Reeves as Superman

Worst miscasting IMO -- Keaton and Nicholson in Batman (yeah, it's my opinion and I stand by it)

Worst acting -- Matt Salinger as Captain America, edging out Dolph as the Punisher.

Hasselhoff would probably win as Nick Fury, but no way I'm watching that to find out.

FYI, I think Affleck gets more crap then he deserves for Daredevil. He's not great, but not really bad either.

I agree whole heartedly with almost everything said here.

Tobey was inspired casting and he got the part because he actually WANTED it. Something filmmakers of today should actually pay attention to. Thank you Sam.

Tom Jane did great things with a largley misunderstood character and Jon Hensleigh did fantastic things on a virtually non-existant budget.

Reeve is brilliant casting and acting. Enough said...

Yeah Keaton was good. But he wasn't Bruce Wayne, and he certainly wasn't Batman. Nicholson could have been better if the direction let him. Joker is a big character in Batman's life and yet he's kind of a boob in the film and when he comes face to face with the bat, he gets b*tched and dies. I mean come on...

Captain America was utterly DESTROYED by Salinger but I have to place a lot of blame on pretty much everyone involved with that piece of... film. Dolph is... ah hell, you all know.

As far as Affleck goes, yeah he took a HUGE amount of ***** for that film but if you actually look at it intelligently, instead of popularly, HE wasn't all that bad. The Director needed to let go of his OVERWHELMING and painfully obvious, love of anime and get some experience before even attempting to helm a movie with such a heavy character. The blame for this film should be placed on the Writer and Director who happen to be the same misguided person Mark Steven Johnson and a large part of the blame should go to the Fox Executives that SAT IN on the editing process and cut all the scenes from the film actually worth showing.

"that's my nose, silly... these are my lips".

...

i mean, what do you say to that? Somebody WROTE that line? Somebody actually AGREED that the line worked on screen, and wasn't at all pointless and awkward?

And then even when it made it to the shooting script, Tim Story STILL allowed Jessica Alba to perform the line that way? And then include it in the final cut?!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH HOLLYWOOD!

on a side note, i think Chris Evans as the Torch was very amusing, a stylistic counterpoint (if you would) to the somewhat more serious members of the team.

Best: Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman
-Tom Welling as Young Clark Kent
-Micheal Chiklis as Ben Grimm/The Thing
-Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
-Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman

Worst: Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze
-Hally Berry as Patience Phillips/Catwoman
-Dolph as the Punisher

Could have done without:

Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor(too cheesy)

I like Tobey as Spidey but in the movies Spidey is not wisecrackin. When I read a Spider-Man comic I also laugh or giggle at something Spider-Man says, but in the movie Spider-man lacks this charm.:spidey:

thanks

Best - For some reason it just hit me today, "The Rock as Deadpool".
He's already got the superhero bod, and you know he can be totally goofy when he wants to. It just makes sense to me.

MCD could have pwned as The Kingpin, he did pretty well in the DC though.
