Living in Romania, I haven't exactly had the oportunity to go to any high profile concerts. But this year somehow, by the grace of the rock gods, I have had the privilege to see live and uncensored Depeche Mode and Billy Idol.

For me it's like a dream come true. And the Billy Idol concert was by far the funnest. Not to say that I didn't enjoy Depeche Mode but ,for the 2 hours they played I was just in a daze because I really couldn't believe DM was performing live in front of me.

At the Billy Idol concert I had the time of my life. I danced, I shouted, I jumped. I even took my top off (it was very hot in the city and no, I don't have pics, :) )

Anyway, the worst concert experience ever was when I went to a heavy metal concert,Kreator in case you heard of them. My best friend practically dragged me along. I said that I should at least experience a heavy metal concert in my life. It was the most out of place I have ever felt. And I swalloed so much hair that night... from all the peopleflipping their damn pony tails in my face. I wasn't feeling the music at all. It wasn't a bad concert, it just wasn't my scene.

Best - Boysetsfire

Worst - ****ty local bands

Best Guns N'Roses live in london 2002, Lifehouse 2002, Ozzfest 2002, Rammstein 2003.
Worst Biohazard in 2001.

I've been to so many I have lost count, but I have not been to a concert in over 1 year.

I cant remember a bad concert Ive been to, my friend went to a 50cents concert in london and he said it was one of the worst , someone even threw a bottle at 50.

Best: Prince Musicology tour at the Palace of Auburn Hills
Worst: Hard to say. what qualifies as a "concert"? a switch stance show at the league underground?

I went to a Billy Idol concert and it was awesome. I didn't take my top off, though.

Best: Red Hot Chili Peppers with the Dead Milkmen at the Paradise, Boston 1990

Worst: The Wiggles, last year with my niece. She loved it though, so it was worth it.

I haven't been to a concert yet. I will be going to my first in Sept. & see Shakira.:D:up:

Best? Franz Ferdinand, Lowlands 2005
Worst? I can't really think of one that was really bad.

Yeah I never really went to a concert and said, this sucks. Usually if I'm going to a concert, I'm kinda intrested in the band.

Best have to be Social Distortion. Drunk, with my friends, my favorite band, only thing that would have made it complete is going home with a girl, with the condoms they were giving out.

What a coincidence. Shakira is also coming to Romania on the 17th. :) Not going though. I'm more interested in a Placebo concert in august.
Anybody ever been to a Placebo concert? is it fun?

@Ronny Shade: it's not like I flashed Billy Idol or anything! In still had a crop top on!

Why not? is not Billy Idol flash-worthy?

Yeah he is. But my boobs are not Billy Idol - worthy. :)

Best - Radiohead @ Bonnaroo 2006

Mindblowing. The entire weekend was just incredible. If you love music... Bonnaroo is for you.

Worst - Weezer/Foo Fighters

I dunno, just thought the entire show was really loud and boring... not much of a display of muscianship..especially Weezer, who I have never really been impressed with.

Best - Metallica, Kid Rock, Ted Nugent and Sevendust in Detroit on New Year's Eve '99/2000, most everyone else I know is sitting at home freaking out about Y2K and I'm at a kick @$$ concert.

Worst - Dave Matthews, but it was more due to outside forces not the concert itself, tempature dropped from like 80 to 50 between leaving for the concert and getting there and I had shorts and a t-shirt on, also mistook the distance to the concert so my car was getting low on gas and I couldn't find a gas station before the concert, so I was cold and afraid I might run out of gas trying to get home throughout the whole thing.

The absolute worst concert experience though was trying to see Metallica in '98, the place where the concert was was incredibly unequiped to handle the concert, I spend 3-4 hours in traffic trying to drive the last 5 miles to the concert, me and a friend made it to the entrance to hear in the distance Metallica playing the final couple songs of their set. Was able to get a refund for my tickets at least though.

Best: Gaelic Storm.

Worst: Whenever you can't understand the vocals.

best: red hot chili peppers at the borgata on aug 21, 2005...10 feet away from flea

cant think of a worst because the only other concert was the bloodhound gang when they came back to philly last october. i loved the show and the fact that me and my friends were introduced to electric eel shock and stood in the first row makes it all the more memorable

Billy thanks you.
Unless you're a cow.

I really don't go to many concerts, but the few I've gone to have been good.

Best Musically: Cincinatti Symphony Orchestra playing Verdi's Requiem (Aren't I classy).

Best Show: Weird Al, Running With Scissors Tour. He's a hell of a showman, and it was an awesome venue. It's a tiny pavilion, fits maybe 200 people, but since not too many people knew about it, so it was just filled without being crowded or packed. And they still did the full stage show in the tiny place. It was awesome.

There's an awesome concert on Sunday, Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto (If you don't know them, they're ska bands) in the parking lot of a local venue. I can't go though, I'm really pissed.

Best - They Might Be Giants at the New Orleans House of Blues, June 2004

Worst - Jack Johnson at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, April 2005

Some runner up best shows:

Kool Keith
Beastie Boys
Hilary Duff
Area 1 Tour (Outkast/Moby/The Roots)
Public Enemy
Billy Idol
