Best Closing scene to a movie?

People may give me crap about this, but...
Yeah your going to get some crap. That movie sucked so bad. I couldn't sit through it all and it's one of the few movies I've turned off. The ending of the original was done way better.

I think it's mainly the writing and directing that pales in compairison to the original, because...
Sophia Bush >>>> The original chick
Sean Bean >>>>> Rutger Hauer

The original chick doesn't matter to me, since she wasn't the lead like the boy was. Well at least in the orginal everyone could act. That girl in the new one justs stares blankly at everything like MTV actors. Sean Bean whos alright in most flicks tried to hard to be creepy. Rutger had it down.

:lmao:

And you shut your mouth about Sophia Bush! :cmad:

Agreed.

I went and saw the remake of The Hitcher shortly after it began making it's theatrical run, and unfortunately was quite underwhelmed with the entire film. The original Hitcher with Rutger Hauer, has long been a favourite of mine, and was actually one of the first two DVD's I purchased after getting a DVD player back in 2000.

I still havent even bothered re-watching the remake. Let alone purchase the DVD. That about sums it up.

The Dark Knight is king

Other good ones
Seven
The Sixth Sense
King Kong (Original and Peter Jackson's)

Best closing scene I have viewed recently...Ryan Reynolds in Smokin Aces pulling the plugs on Buddy Israel and Primo Sparazza and laying his badge and gun down

The Dark Knight's ending was actually the worse part of the film for me, I don't get why people are so infatuated with it....Unless you are talking about the Batman/TwoFace showdown...but the Gordon speech at the end, no :down

My favorite ending: Shawshank Redemption!!!
Best ending EVER.

Oh and I also like:
Psycho - Norman Bates mom complete taking over = scary
Cassablanca
Spider-man 1 - final swing is breathtaking
Forrest Gump
Princess Mononoke
The Lion King
etc etc....so much good endings I dont feel like writing the rest :o

The last line is good in the context of the movie.

Agreed. Same with TDK and Iron Man.

As far as non-comic book films go, I'd say Casino Royale and The Prestige had awesome closing scenes.

The Excorcist.

Apocalypse Now
"The horror... the horror..."

Batman Begins
"And you'll never have to"

Die Hard
"If this is their idea of Christmas, I *gotta* be here for New Year's"

Goodfellas
"And that's the hardest part. Today everything is different; there's no action... have to wait around like everyone else. Can't even get decent food - right after I got here, I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce, and I got egg noodles and ketchup. I'm an average nobody... get to live the rest of my life like a schnook"

Heat
"Told you I'm never going back"
"Yeah"

The Prestige
"Now you're looking for the secret. But you won’t find it because of course, you're not really looking. You don't really want to work it out. You want to be fooled"

I really liked the ending to Scream, especially with the music.

"It all began with a scream over 911 that ended in a bloodbath that has rocked the town of Woodsboro."

I've always like the score in Scream. My personal favorite part of the score is the next morning where you see that shot of the skate boarding kids.

And I love the song at the end credits to Scream 3.

Serenity!!!!

It's such a great film, and under rated film.

Transformers (2007) had a good ending...

kinda long, but cool at the end, great song too :woot:

Once- I liked it didn't cop out for a cliche ending.
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest- something just beautiful about it.
Terminator 2- with the thumb up. Makes me tear up a little.
Raising Arizona- I just love this endong. I don't really know what about it exactly, but I do really like it.

Which song, the Nic Cage song or the CREED song?
