Best DCEU film

Haven't seen Shazam! yet (and frankly not in a rush to see it ).

Watched most of these multiple times (aside from Shazam.) I remember I liked SS when it first came out, but it hasn't aged well for me with multiple viewings.

BVS Ultimate Edition is probably not all that good anyway. I haven't even watched UE. I remember watching Theatrical Cut and when it came out back in 2016 I thought it was all right but overall watching it and rewatching over and over, I see how bad BVS is as a film. I doubt UE (Ultimate Edition) is any better.

Wonder Woman for me is probably #3 on my list because all be it it is probably one of the better DCEU films...the CGI in some shots is really glaring and the Final fight sequence between Diana and Ares kind of not only drags on for too long. But the CGI in that scene is overkill. Other than that WW is a good film not just good but great.

Aquaman if anything should rank higher at #2 not only because of all box office records it broke. It surpassed WW as well as every other DCEU film financially and not to mention Aquaman's story is better than WW. It helps that Wan basically makes the film better and the CGI isn't that bad either but it is needed especially when it comes to Atlantis.

Man of Steel if anything should be at #4

Justice League is a way better film than Suicide Squad if you ask me...Suicide Squad was just horrible if anything more horrible than JL. JL at least had a sense of direction but ultimately that was sabotaged by WB itself unlike Suicide Squad whereas their direction was all off and over the place.

However for me Shazam definitely ranks at #1, Aquaman at #2, WW at #3, Man of Steel at #4, #5 JL, #6 BVS and #7 SS

JL could have been so much better and it actually was but because they changed directors. Had they kept Snyder on as director and they had not done any reshoots and kept in original scenes, but not use so much CGI and more emphasis on individual League member stories whereas tweaking the plot a little bit then for sure JL would be not only salvageable but higher on this list. Am I right or am I wrong?

Okay. Just saw Shazam.

1. Shazam! Real feel-good fun, loved it. The charm of the cast more than makes up for any flaws. A very good cbm. 9/10

2. Wonder Woman. Mostly for GG''s excellent performance in the title role, and a couple of great action sequences. Villains were real duds though. 8/10

3. Man of Steel. A very underrated film. People seem to ignore all its positive elements, got more right than wrong. Has its faults but not a bad movie. 7/10

4. Aquaman. A fun movie but the cgi was a bit much. Momoa has plenty of charm in the lead but a lot of other characters felt very generic ( like the supporting cast in WW) 7/10.

5. Justice League. 6/10 Not a good film, but mildly watchable with some fun moments and a lot better than....


6. Batman vs Superman. 5/10. The last 40 minutes or so aren't awful, except the Martha moment. The 2 hours or so it takes to get there is a chore to watch, at the end you're glad it's over, but still better than....

7. Suicide Squad. 2/10. Not just a terrible comic book movie, but a terrible movie full stop. Margot Robbie was the only remotely good thing about this film, and this is not one of her best performances.
I give the film props for trying something new with the Joker, but sadly it managed be the worst big screen Joker by a wide margin - the animated versions are all much better too.

Said this elsewhere but Shazam might take the cake as my favorite DC movie ever.

Justice League isn’t good but it made me like a few characters so I’m a little easier on it than most.
