Going back for revenge and to clear the weapons out

My observations just tell me this:

-People liked Spider-Man 2 for the storytelling. People LOVED Spider-Man 2 for the action.

-People liked Batman Begins for the action. People LOVED Batman Begins for the storytelling.

-TNC
How are you observing these things? Are you going around asking friends? People love Spider-man for the story. Why do you think people hated Spider-man 3, even though it had the most action out of all the movies? It was because they thought the story didn't have the same quality of the first two.

There was action all throughout the movie. Hell, the opening scene easily was one of the most intense, and brutally violent scenes in any comic movie to date. If your definition of action requires the hero to be fighting someone, then you're wrong.

It doesn't matter. Four action sequences is still pathetic. People don't even rate the final battle tops.

What kind of inane logic is that?
So you are saying you have not seen the film then?
In which case your opinion is void.

Do you determine a SH flicks worth from a checklist which includes-

-Does the film have more than 4 action scenes?

and -Do fans rate the final action scene as the best one?

If the answer is no too both then the film sucks right?, good one.
Let me tell you- the film is so entertaining that you're not counting the action scenes, the whole thing is great.

You mean when he gets ambushed? I don't count that. I only count the action scenes if I see red and gold.

I will be the final judge of whether Iron Man is great or not. Once it passes my test then Iron Man will be deemed a proper comic book superhero movie not before!

1. Iron Man ( The Mark III version) 's Arrival in Gulmira

2. Iron Man vs. The two USA F-22 jets

3. Tony Stark Escapes Captivity as Iron Man ( The Mark I version)

4. Iron Man vs. Iron Monger

Oh YOU will be the final judge on Iron Man, damn we should clear out the rate and review thread and wait until you write your review because you're clearly the be all end all to comic movie reviews. :whatever:

Actually before.

That conclusion is history now.

Iron Man vs Iron Monger was the best for me.

I'm tied with Mark I escape scene and the terrorist retaliation scene, they're both so great.

Like I said, it's not that the action wasn't good. It's just that, from what I've gathered, most people admired the film moreso for the non-action scenes.

I'm sorry but i think the best fight of the 3 movies is the one in the end of spiderman 1 with green goblin one on one in that load of **** place :whatever: it was, rude brutal, bloody. For a final fight it was one hell of a last fight!

Easily, it has to be Iron Man returning to the Middle East.

Ya the mid east scene is probably the most badass but is way to brief and so is the iron monger showdown. If that mideast scene had a 5 more minutes tacked on with him really laying waste to that group and there reign of terror it would have been alot better. And the Iron Monger showdown is the same way. This flick had great action just not enough, 10 to 15 more minutes of solid heartpounding suspense and the flick would have been legendary.

You and everyone else can continue to review the film but once I'm done then judgement will be final.

"Iron Man returns to the middle east for some revenge" could be my favorite three minutes in the history of motion pictures. Seriously.

I pick when Iron Man goes back to the Middle East and owns those terrorists.
I watched Spiderman 2 the night after I saw Iron Man to truelly see if I still enjoyed Spiderman 2 the most of any comic movie and I was very suprised. I knew the plot was almost flawless, but I forgot how GREAT the action sequences were. Easily my favorite SH movie, but Iron Man is almost as great. The acting was spot on, the plot was great, the action was great. Nothing really for me to complain for except the climatic battle could have been better, but it was still good.

I hvae a qeustion about the terrorist scene. Was that a 100% digital Iron Man? There were shots of the legs and the arms that looked like the suit they built but they never showed the entire body shot when they did those close ups. Even when Iron Man was walking on the ground it still looked digital. I am not complaining or anything. Obviously there is probably zero flexibility in that suit. It still looked kinda of Clone Trooper to me though. I hope I am wrong about that but I wish they kept the real suit on for all the ground sequences.

I think the action scene's in this movie were a let down overall when compared to the ones in TF, which only cost $10 million more remember.

Its the jet scenes for me. I wanted more action I must admit. The movie is really good but the action was so little same problem with Begins and Superman Returns especially the lackluster ending.

^The final battle just didnt cut it i agree, and they showed all of the best bits of the final battle in the trailers also, it was dissapointing, as i feel they could have done much more with the situation.

Well, Iron Man had to spend a large portion of it's time, for Tony to develop and perfect the suits. Whereas the tranformers, were already fully trained with their powers. I loved Iron Man, and I'm confident that the next movie will pump up the action. Personally, I liked the scenes with the flying, and testing.

This is all true, but the likes of Hulk, X-Men, Spiderman, Hellboy et al, had these problems as well, yet had more action in them, the majority of them had lower budgets as well.
