Bryan Singer: The 2nd film is not in my history. It's not a particularly good film, either, if you watch it again.

I actually think that quote is taken a bit out of context. Im guessing Singer is referring to what happened with Donner and the resulting Lester fiasco of Superman II. That's just specualtion though. Who knows exactly what all this vague sequel stuff is in his mind.
