Best & Worst "Monster" movies

Ok, excluding Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Faerie folk and Aliens (they have their own threads), which are the best and worst movie "monsters" out there? (Frankenstein's Monster, Godzilla, etc)

I liked Godzilla 2000

I liked the original, Gojira.

Actually the majority of their incarnations suck if you aren't a kid.

Cartoons portray Frankenstein better than any movie, and Godzilla jokes on the Simpsons are the closest thing I could stand to watch GZ appear in at this point in my life.

Monster House

Jaws,I can't go swimming.

Nightmare On Elm Street,I had a hard time sleeping, I know I heard Freddy Kruger in my room.

Hannibal Lechter,sexy beast.

My all time favorite,

The Island of Dr. Moreau,1976

My god that movie was too much for my young mind. I need to own it.

Well I would say "The Thing" is a fantastic monster movie, but I guess he'd probably fit in with aliens.
