Comics best x-men team!

i am truly a big fan of jim lee's run with the xmen back in 91. i think cyclops,beast,wolvie,rogue,psylocke,gambit and jubilee were the best x-men team. i mean u have cyke who is a tactical genius, beast is an actual genius, wolverine nuff said, and the rest of team just ruled. anyone else like to share???

If we are limiting this to only X-men teams, then one of my favorite lineups would have to be the OZT team of Cyclops, Phoenix, Storm, Cannonball and Wolverine. I love small teams, 5 being my favorite. I also loved the original 5 and Morrison's 5 from New X-men (Cyclops, Jean, Emma, Wolverine, Beast)

Jim Lee (simply because this team contains of almost every popular character available): Archangel, Beast, Colossus, Cyclops, Gambit, Jean Grey, Jubilee, Iceman, Psylocke, Rogue, Storm, and Wolverine

I don't see why would someone hate Cyclops because he comes back being a leader, he's always the leader.

The gold and blue teams from the early 90s. Between the two, they had all the characters I like. As far as smaller teams go, the teams from around the Dark Pheonix Saga and Days of Future Past were the best.

i have to say the reason everyone hates or majorly dislikes cyke is because as the leader he has to make choices that are very unpopular and everyone always blames the leader when the going gets rough. he's a whipping boy....but he always seems to deal with it.

A leader's role is hard to balance, when you do something right, and the glory goes to all the team; you do something bad, and the blame goes solely to you.
But that's the reason Cyclops is the best for what he does, doing things because they're the right thing to do.

Storm for leadership, firepower and strategy
Rogue for firepower
Wolverine for powerhouse
Cannonball for powerhouse
Bobby for firepower and comic relief
Psylocke for being a telekinetic
Beast for sheer genius
Colossus for powerhouse

Having three powerhouses, a strategist and lots of firepower can make this team to be reckoned with.

i think morrison's team was very well balanced, and they were able to do some serious butt-kicking without the aid of other x-men in that series....well the students helped out a little especially the cuckoos.

Wolverine (Fighter, Second in Command)
Psylocke (Telepathy)
Havok (Energy)
Longshot (Fighter, Probability manipulation)
Colossus (Strength, Invulnerability)
Rogue (Strength, Invulnerability, Absorption)
Dazzler (Energy)

IMHO, this was the most powerful team of X-Men without the Phoenix Force backing it.

I couldn't agree with you more an all three of those teams.

I also LOVED the 'team' of Iceman, Marrow, and Cecila Reyes. All three of them really shined in the small time they were together in OZT.

oh yeah. I loved how they were THE X-men team for that crossover. UXM wasnt even involved in it bc that team was in space and teh 5 that I mentioned were off captured in Wolverine. X-men was the core title that the crossover ran and I loved how Lobdell didnt focus on the larger X-men characters but instead let Icemen lead a group of newbies. They worked pretty well together for those few issues

Magma is also a good addition too. As well as Bishop. I found it hard limiting my dream team...ugh. Lol.
