He's certainly got a lot more presence as a heel than as a face.

It's remarkable what the switch can do for certain wrestlers. Henry and R Truth have benefited greatly from their turns.

Truth has been gold since his turn. He isn't setting the wrestling world on fire like Punk is but he is entertaining as all hell and I look forward to seeing him on Raw every week. Riley has also benefited greatly from his face turn, before that I probably couldn't have picked that guy out of a line up. It's like he used The Miz's face to punch himself into existance.

Ring of Honor management are happy to announce that they have come to terms with Jay Lethal and he is now officially under ROH contract. The former ROH Pure Champion was a part of Ring of Honor from 2003 – 2006 and in that time frame captured the ROH Pure Title, contended for the ROH Tag Titles, and battled everyone from CM Punk to Samoa Joe to Christopher Daniels.

Returning to the fold at “Best in the World 2011”, Lethal defeated “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett and is now scheduled to challenge for the ROH World TV Title against champion El Generico THIS Saturday night in Chicago Ridge, IL!

“Jay Lethal is a wrestler that the ROH fans have watched grow up right in front of them.” Said ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette, “From his days with Special K to his battles over the Pure Title, Jay Lethal became a man in front of the ROH fans and now that he’s back in Ring of Honor, we can all see how much of a fighter he has become. It’s exciting to have him back here with us, and I for one look forward to seeing him and Generico go at it on SBG TV!”

Tickets for this weekend’s SBG TV Tapings where Lethal will take on Generico are still available right here in the ROH Store: http://www.rohstore.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=201!

Can't they give Roadblock a more formidable gun? The SAW is cool and all, but come on.

The SAW is just what Roadblock uses to scare birds out of his herb garden. For combat, he uses something with some heft.

I really don't understand the popularity of Riley, or the pops that he gets.

It wasn't long ago that he was messing up promos, and he usually messes up inside the ring.

My guess is that its a fad and that he'll return to obscurity at some point.

Madden rants on the whole Punk angle again...

http://www.wrestlezone.com/editorials/240193-too-much-too-soon-wwe-releases-the-next-big-thing

No Madden, the Punk is back because he's a hot item... keeping him off of WWE tv for a while would cause him to fizzle out due to the WWE fans short term memory...

Is their memory really THAT short though? He was gone for exactly one week. Was that not a job that could have been handled by replays and the announce team or other wrestlers mentioning him on the mic?

Gotta strike while the fire is hot... Punk's fire was extremely hot. Plus, they weren't allowed to talk about or show anything about Punk on TV.

So... once that was said.. we would have had to rely on websites and ESPN, ect. Your Joe Wrasslin' fan wouldn't pay attention to that kind of stuff. We also would have had to wait longer for the Punk vs Triple H vs Cena thing to start... and... I'm fairly impatient. After last week.. I'm glad they brought him back as early as they did.

That's the power of punching Miz in the face. You're probably right though unless he really takes that ball and runs with it and isn't held down by booking.

The only reason they weren't allowed to talk about it is cause Vince came out and said so, something they could have easily not had happen. Then they could have talked about it all they wanted.

it really is i remember when cryme tyme was so hot when they did their backstage segments and were linked with DX a bit and rivalry with rated rko they were extremely hot and got some of the biggest reactions for a tag team in a long time.Then they got released and came back couple months later and their reaction was nowhere near it was before they got released and never really regained their popularity.

Hey so I am thinking about going to the Raw in Chicago that takes place in December. I want to get Platinum seats and I know if you get them for PPVs you get to take home the chair with you. Does anyone know if you get anything special for attending a Raw or Smackdown and getting a Platinum Seat? Thanks

My only problem with the current Punk angle is that they're trying to sell Cena's "title" as legitimate.

When Punk was threatening to leave, it was a big deal (and Vince was selling it as a big deal) because it meant that every "Champion" after the fact would come with an asterisk; that is, nobody would have ever beaten Punk for the title. It would have been the WWE Title*.

Once Punk returned, the WWE Title* immediately became completely meaningless. It was no longer the replacement title, because the real title it was supposed to be replacing had returned.

Furthermore, if the WWE Title* is perfectly legit, then why did Vince care so much that Punk was threatening to quit?

I think they should have called the replacement title something else, the way they brought in the World Heavyweight title when Unstoppable H lost the WWE belt. Make an entirely new belt--that way, there could be a legitimate debate as to how meaningful the new belt is, as opposed to the current situation where, in my mind, Cena's belt is clearly bogus.

Also, because that situation is less confused than having two WWE champions, the storyline leading to the unification of the title could be longer and more involved (if that's something we want, which is open to debate).

I guess I just really wanted to see Cena's belt denote him as the Company Man champion.

It's not a big deal, all things considered, but I think it could have been handled better. Anyways, it'll be fine so long as Cena loses.

^but was'nt punk's title meaningless the moment he was no longer with the company

That's understandable and I get not having Punk be gone for that long but there is a big difference between a few months and one week.

Too much fat has gotten to his brain. I hear it's about the size of Jamarcus Russell.

Following Friday's main roster purge, the axe continued to fall at WWE headquarters as the following developmental wrestlers were removed from the official website of Florida Championship Wrestling this afternoon:
* Bobby Dutch
* Colin Cassady
* DeSean Bishop
* Jason Mullen
* Leroy Parks
* Lucky Cannon
* Cameron Lynn (Tough Enough contestant Ariane Andrew)
* Sonia
Cassady, Parks and Lynn were added to the website's talent roster last week.

I liked Lucky Cannon.

Man this Punk interview is pretty honest. He really isn't a fan of the Rock's comeback. Props to Punk for giving props to Piper.

Lucky Cannon had a stupid name. Sounded like a porn star.

Bill Goldberg stated during an autograph appearance that he will "probably" return to the ring before the end of 2011

Powell's POV: Goldberg said that if he returns to the ring, his ideal opponent would be Steve Austin. I don't think he'll get that wish if he's returning to the ring this year, as I would be surprised if Austin wrestled, let alone worked a non-WrestleMania match. I'm not sure whether the video made news last month, but it's the first time I've seen it

I doubt he will return to WWE,Maybe Japan again But IF really WWE then I think it'll be WM!!

Goldberg will return to where he think he will get his biggest payday. It's that simple

My problem is they made this about the belt. Honestly, who the **** cares about the belt? This was about Punk vs. the establishment which was represented by Cena. I'm interested to see where it goes tonight.

Triple H shaved his beard down a bit.

Hmm, pretty equal crowd in the support for Cena or Punk.
