Shut up Cole, we can hear you from the Wrestling Thread!

I think doing a brand split in the year 2016 with the current roster depth doesn't really make much sense to me. You barely have enough talent to fill a three hour RAW these days, and that was even before the injury bug that effected WrestleMania this year with so many guys out at once. So why would you split your roster in half? It seems like a ratings stunt more than anything.

WWE pursuing more outside talent...

I bet management at TNA, ROH, NJPW, Noah, AJPW, AAA, CMLL, LU, etc are on pins and needles.

Hopefully they don't get hit too hard. Aside from TNA, AAA, and AJPW I think all of those promotions still put out better products than WWE in my book

I heard that SmackDown will be filled with new talent.. I say give it to Hunter and keep Vince and Dunn away. Also, will there be separate titles for the shows? If not... It's pointless.

I like Nia Jax and don't mind her getting a title shot against Asuka but not sure I want her to win the title yet since I also like Asuka and want her have a bit longer title reign.

Jack Evans
Johnny Mundo (Nitro/Morrison)
PJ Black(Justin Gabriel)

Defeated..

Dragon Azteca Jr
Prince Puma(Ricochet)
Rey Mysterio Jr

for the Trio's Tag Titles on Lucha Underground tonight in an awesome and FUN match!

I'm not a fan of her at all. I hope Auska destroyes her.

They're not going to have Asuka kill all of Nia's credibility. I see a lot of potential in Nia Jax, but she definitely needs more seasoning in NXT before being called up ot the main roster.

anyone think this means anything major?

Maybe Smackdown will be re branded as NXT Smackdown. That would solve the problem of one of the shows not having a heavyweight/world title.

Hmm, NXT's roster mixed with certain main roster talent moved to Smackdown? Technically would be a brand split and definitely a "unique roster"

Rob McCarron at Wrestling Inc thinks that the WWE will go after guys who have been in the WWE before but were let go like Drew Galloway and Ethan Carter. He doesn't believe that the WWE will pursue guys like Okada or Tanahashi.

Vince recently sold a ton of his stock.. Part of me wonders.. Could he be ready to transition and hand WWE over to Triple H and Shane? I would be generally interested to see how different Raw and SmackDown could be.. Shane vs Triple H..

I was surprised that the guys at Wrestling Inc had Lesnar in the draft pool because I am thinking that he's exempt due to his status in the WWE as a "special attraction."

Okada recently said he will "never" go to WWE and his dream is to grow NJPW enough to where they could run Madison Square Garden.

Tanahashi is in his 40s, I don't think he's going anywhere.

But guys like Moose, Roddy Strong, The Young Bucks, ACH, Adam Cole... all of their contracts expire between now and the end of the year except Cole, who is signed through April.

They've long been rumored to be trying to sign Ricochet/Prince Puma

They've showed interest in Jay Lethal and the Briscoes before

The Hardys could be a target, and as you said Galloway and EC3. Maybe Eddie Edwards.

Go Shiozaki is out there

Not sure about the contract statuses of guys like Naito, Dalton Castle, Ishii, Goto, Omega, Rey Mysterio, Texano, King Cuerno, Mil Muertes, etc but they could easily be targets (maybe not Dalton Castle). Muertes is pretty old, so maybe not him

It's really a scary time for fans of the major non-WWE promotions. Only ROH and NJPW are financially healthy, and they're the ones that have been hit hardest by WWE lately.

And the rest of them? We honestly don't know if LU, TNA, or AJPW will still exist in 2 years. CMLL and AAA are in a lot of trouble, but they're pretty resilient. Noah isn't doing well either.

I don't blame WWE for signing great talent but it'll be sad to see WWE's only real competition take these hits.

I think Lethal and Briscoes recently re-signed.

As for Moose....the WWE already has a similar build guy in Apollo Crews.

I wonder how many pro wrestlers who don't want to go to the WWE may consider MMA as an option, especially if (and this will not happen ever) CM Punk impresses in his UFC debut?

I'm so pessimistic, but trying to stay positive.I hope it's nothing drastic and they end NXT.

I don't think they'll really end NXT, but I think what Triple H means is that NXT goes back to it's true intention: WWE Developmental.

Plus to my understanding "The End" is the subtitle for this coming special

Maybe NXT does end but it's roster and crew takes over Smackdown for the brand split and the new peopled called up from the performance center now go to that show...

OR..

As Dr.Evil said, maybe wwe buys a promotion like Evolve and the nxt people go there to make it a new developmental.

You guys are more than likely right,I'm so being a Chicken Little right now.
