Punk is a promo god. That was one of the few contract signings that was actually worth the time they took to do it. Cena was weak at first, but his last bit about how Punk has everything to lose was solid.
WWE continues to be more exciting than it's been in years. Also, the best part? When Punk said Dwayne in G.I. Joe made him mad, haha.
I loved it, I loved it.I knew it was going to be good when Punk started out by stating "why are we doing this?" I love how McMahon has pretty much given Cena and Punk the ball and they're just going with it. I really wonder though behind the scenes-wise if McMahon really is a fan of Punk though.
Also, wow. Punk calling out Johnny Ace on the recent releases on live TV was something else. Totally didn't see that coming and it was awesome.
Also, Dwayne calling Cena a "transvestite Wonder Woman" made me spit my beer out.![]()
oh god Cena is annoyingly awful on the mic at the moment

Note I couldn't find Haters gonna hate one so this will have to do.
Cena's whole promo was about guys like you and thats why it had so much truth.not mad, but he is so annoying - i hate the whole applauding his opponent after talking and saying "oh that was a good one you got me" "i respect you" "im such a nice guy" and goofy grin..... okay maybe I am mad
Miz looks rapey all the time not just in commercialsWhy? Why is Miz so... rapey looking in that 7Eleven commercial?
Makes sense with 24 hour news, reality television, social media, wikileaks to call this the reality era"His name is Harry Smith."This is really the reality era.
Thats how I see it. Some of the long term fans from the attitude era having a guy like Punk gives them someone to cheer for while the newer fans can cheer Cena.Cena is still the companies top man and Vince will be careful in how this is played out, but when you have a dead crowd that a guy gets completely behind him the way Punk did tonight, you know you have a special talent.
Punk is the face for the older fans and Cena is the face for the younger fans, both can co-exist IMO.
I've been saying that for a while. If some wrestlers had better mic skills it might get them further up the ladder. As if it wasn't obvious before...
The Punk/Cena rivalry this summer really underlines the importance of promos. The mic, more than in the in-ring work at times, is what will get a feud or a star over. It's why it's so important for guys to learn it and not rely on being spot monkeys. It also shows why scripted promos suck. Punk is Punk as always, but this was the most natural Cena has sounded on the mic in a long time.
I don't know how they're going to book main-event feuds when this is over in terms of promo work.

I don't think they can co-exist.
The way it is at the moment, crowds seem to be split. And not split in a good way.
Crowds split in a good way would be, half the people chanting "Austin", half the crowd chanting "Rocky" during Wrestlemania.
The kind of split crowds we're seeing at the moment, we're hearing the women and kids cheer Cena and boo Punk, and just the opposite with the men.
I don't think that is good.
The crowd needs to be totally behind one of them.
The delimma is that they won't turn Cena heel.

PWI brought up an interesting idea in summerslam match people keep thinking hhh is gonna screw punk but they brought up the possibility of johnny ace screwing either punk or cena without hhh's knowledge.Seeing how both punk and cena have laid out Ace and johnny even said cena does'nt deserve to be champion a week ago and tried to cost punk the mitb match till cena blasted him.
Why the **** would u want that as a avatar is beyond me.
no that'll happen i can see HHH screwing cena and siding with punk. sorry but i still do not think wwe has the balls for anyone to go over they're poster boy permanently

Is it just me or have they dropped the anonymous general manager?
