Aww, man Thats that **** right there. I never been so scared at the beginning of a game until I played Bioshock. I was too frightened to do anything. I let my friend borrow it and he loved it. Great, great, great game. The second one is going to be on point. I cant wait.

totally agree with you there, i also got scared the first time playing the demo when you arrive in the bathosphere for the 1st time reminded me of Resident Evil

Yeah, the atmosphere and story in the first was superb. Now if they can just get rid of that horrible Pipe Dreams hacking mini-game, and improve the gameplay so I have to do more than follow the formula of "hit with wrench, walk, hit with wrench" for every enemy except the Big Daddies, I'll be happy.

I like BioShock, not as much as the rest of you though. But the 50s scifi atmosphere is enough to keep me coming back.

Aaah, the movies from YouTube are classic. I remember playing Doom 3 and FEAR just like that guy. Amazing.

That Alma chick had me jump out of my seat TOO many times dammit! The sewer sequence was scary as bat-****.

Doom 3, oh the joy of the flaslight and the ******ed marine who cant hold a gun + flaslight. I had a 5.1 Surround Set when it came out, so I heared a noise BEHIND me... it made me look backwards, when I got back into the game I took my flaslight and lit a zombie in his face, scared me ****less.

Saw the teaser a couple days ago. Can't freaking wait! From a cinematic standpoint Bioshock is the best. Andrew Ryan's monologue's throughout the game are superbly written and chilling. Just the whole atmosphere and plot, I love it. It's so damn original. I can't wait for the film.

My casting choices for the film:

Jack - Edward Norton
Ryan - This one is hard, but Daniel Day Lewis possibly.

So, I recently got Bioshock and Orange Box for my birthday, I started kind of playing them simultaneously in between Burnout and Lost and Damned.

I'm trying to get through Bioshock before I really get into Half Life 2 because, frankly, Bioshock isn't really doing it for me. I loved the demo, I played it dozens of times, the atmosphere, everything in the demo was fantastic. But I just got done the theater scene in the game and I just am not enjoying it that much. The always respawning enemies, the alerts, the hacking, the plasmids which don't seem to do much damage, the combat is all over the place etc.. The only part of the game I really like is finding and taking down Big Daddies.

It's kind of disappointing because I built this game up a lot in my head from the demo and all the praise it received. Even the atmosphere, which is so well defined in the beginning of the game, seems to just be getting frantic. The places don't really look like anything anymore, just wacky architecture and florescent lights.

I'm going to play through and finish it, maybe things will start to turn around, but I'm definitely losing whatever interest I had in Bioshock 2 before I actually started to play Bioshock.

I say stick with it. If you don't already know the ending yet, then you are in for a huge payoff in the end.
I can't wait for the 2nd one to come out.
