I'll relax when people realize Bioshock wasnt innovative, and was pretty much half a game...it was great yeah, but I took my time in it and was still done in 8 hours, and it had no multiplayer (which would have been incredible).

oh yeah, psy-powers, that's new...oh wait, no it isnt...and the enemy ai, that all just run at you after jumping out of closets, that's a real new thing...the only thing that was innovative about it was the setting.

And I'm not saying it's a bad game, it's just the most over-hyped game in the history of the Xbox 360. It's what Halo 2 was for the original Xbox, a game that everyone wet themselves over, that when you get right down to it, wasnt really all it was cracked up to be.

I've noticed something with a lot of the highly anticipated games. Once they come out and are good, get good reviews and everything, everyone is like "Oh damn, wow what a great game, a MUST HAVE! Game of the Year candidate!" And then as time goes on it dies down as it usually does, but then about a few months to a year down the road the game just sucks. See like right now to some people Gears of War sucks. It didn't at the beginning but it does now. Its like a virus, it spreads. You're like the first symptom of that happening with Bioshock, which will indeed win GOTY and rightfully so because its the best single player experience to come out. And its that good to where it doesn't need a tacked on multiplayer mode so it can just say it has that too.

I'm sure it will win GOTY, from some places...I think Halo 3 will get it from others though...and neither of them will deserve it really...and I never said Bioshock sucked, it was just incredibly overhyped, waaaaayyyy too short, and the lack of multiplayer killed it for me.

It's cool to say Halo 2 and Bioshock suck, because it means you are accustomed to only the pinnacle of human achievement in life.

So what should GOTY go to? Lair? Wii Play? Vampire Rain?

Right now I think the only game that can compete with Bioshock for it is Mass Effect or Halo 3 and maybe Metroid is in the discussion as well.

I think that Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty 4 may steal a few GOTY awards as well.

I keep forgetting about CoD 4. I don't know why either since I have the beta and its great. Assassin's Creed looks good as well, just don't know if it can sneak in amongst everything else.

right now I think Assassin's Creed looks like it could take it, depending on how it turns out.
