I still love this movie

Penguin makes sense.

The biggest miss in this film was Cassandra Cain. What they did to her was vile.

I feel like the box office performance and the general state of the DCEU era has some people convinced that this was a stinker, but I loved it. Gotta give it a rewatch one of these days.

They completely f**ked up Cassandra Cain but the movie was still really good.

Yeah, I didn’t care much at the time, but having read a bit more of the Cassandra-era material in the years since does make it clear they should’ve just made her a random street kid.

I get we want to show strong female characters, but I prefer Harley Quinn to be under the rule of joker and in a very bad relationship. They shouldn’t be equals and feeding off each other. Similar to the cartoons but adulted up in the movies. At least to begin

I wasn’t expecting to see Orphan pop up in the DCEU otherwise, so I was fine with it but I suppose, in hindsight, it could have been Holly Robinson instead of Cassandra Cain in that role.

And then Catwoman and Poison Ivy instead of Black Canary and Huntress. Call it Gotham City Sirens or Harley Quinn & the Sirens.

I don’t know that we need to change up the whole cast, but I do wish they let it just be a Harley Quinn movie with BOP characters in supporting roles (which it absolutely was) rather than trying to sell it as a Birds of Prey film.

Not every female character has to be a hero. It’s ok to let them be villains or in really bad relationships. Joker shouldn’t be a good boyfriend. The worst thing joker does as your boyfriend shouldn’t be leaving you for Batman to save.

I want to see Harley start out as Jokers sidekick/gf for a 2 or so movies before breaking it off and going out on her own. Growth.
