The only reason I ever started reading Xmen was because of Bishop. Marvel has a long list of underdeveloped black characters but Bishop really sparked my interest. Anyway, you guys loved the Dazzler and Longshot stories where they had adventures traveling and battling Mojo. I for one am really pissed off that the writers did not see the future storyline potential between Bishop and Deathbird. The characters seemed to interact really well, mainly because Ive had relationships like this. I suppose my voice belongs to the small and few, but I really loved the fact that Bishop finally had a love interest. What was most appealing to me was the fact Bishop's love interest was the baddest girl in the Shiar. This story could have evol;ved into the plot (well I love her but my friends hate her)

There were so many possible stories that could have been written detailing their exploits. That just made such a great team, and I feel Bishop would have been better off as Deathbird's partner where he could use his powers to his full potential, other then hanging out with the Xmen who always yell at him for being too violent.

I hate the fact that Bishop is a part of the Xmen, because he is a loner character, and has no real interaction with the rest of the Xmen short of crying in jean's arms.

I know there is a possibility where Bishop might run into Deathbird again, and if the writers handling that project were imaginitive, I could see the 2 reigniting their passion. Anyway what do you think? Thanks for reading.

I thought I was the only person that liked that paing! I have always thought they could have done more with Bishop, but it seems he always gets pushed to the background.I hope they do bring Deathbird back so the two can pick up where they left off. How soon that will happen I don't know given all of the stuff that's going on now like the Civil War and such.I would be happy to see him get his own series or something with Deathbird, that would really make for some good reading,It might even make me start reading marvel again on a regular basis instaed of just once in a blue.

HE is currently sort of infatuated with Sage... which is like falling in love for your ipod...

I did like the pair, but I don't agree with him being a loner. He was always leading a team or another in the XSE, he belongs with a group. I think it's time he becomes a leader of the X-Men. He decided to follow Ororo's leadership because he was new in this time, and he had much to learn. Now he knows, now he should be a leader.

bishops had the hots for deathbird, storm, and sage. recently he's been spending more and more time with field commander of the o.n.e. val cooper, though both claim its simply proffessional. also recently he's been spending more time with nyc cop and x-men ally charlotte jones, archangel's ex.

I also liked the Bishop and Deathbird combo. Deathbird is a total bad ass but Bishop knows how to handle her. I liked the fact that she saw a fierce warrior in him. I believe that's what turned her on.

Wow! Thank you guys!! I thought I was alone in this! Wow this really makes my day that there are other people who think the same as I do regarding Bishop. I really stopped reading Xmen after Deathbird double crossed him.

Bishop does belong in a team but not no team where his teammates are always checking him and keeping him from being himself. But the Deathbird and Bishop relationship really touched my heart.

   Those are the words Ive been trying to say all along but never able to assemble them.

Yes only Bishop can handle Deathbird. Can you imagine what the fights would be like?!!!!

Scott: Its Deathbird again acting a fool!

Bishop: no problem my wigga, I got this.~ Hey baby, you need to stop tripping, and put that Volkswagon down, what are you the incredible hulk or something

Deathbird: Im sorry boo you know how I be trippin sometimes.

Bishop: It's cool you know daddy loves you, come here baby!

hmmm.... Interesting, but no where near as hot as Deathbird....

If you were Bishop, (and I know some of us have pretended at least once in our lives:rolleyes: ) who would you rather make breakfast for the next morning?

Option A.)

Sage

Or..

Hotness Personified....

Dayum, could you imagine being at the club and seeing this peice of hotness walk onto the dance floor? You know if that were the case the DJ would immediately skip the record to Brickhouse. All that junk in the trunk!

But if I were Bishop

Id be having a good time right bout' now.

Xmen The End centers around their child. It is an alternate future but you might want to pick it up.

wait, whos child? Bishop and Deathbird...

"I think I need to change diapers now."

Yup. Xmen The End, is a story that is a possible end to all of the Xmen. Its main character(at least for the start of the story)is Aliyah Bishop, daughter of Lucas Bishop and Deathbird.

Damn Id hate to bump a drink out of her hands at the club, she would make me her designated 8|t<h for the night.

Nice Pic-I think Bishop's daughter is great but has it been established what her power is?
1. Is she a mutant?
2. Has she manifested any shiar characteristics other than her eye tatoo?
3. Do any of the Shiar have powers? (especially members of the Royal Family)ie.
4. Can they fly or not?

I't's a shame she doesn't have her own place in 616 or a series period. There are enless stories to tell.
I loved Bishop as a detective when he went to Australia or Genosha wherever he was investigating. He could have his own series as a detective.

I never really thought about it but with all these women he's in demand. I think he should be the leader of an X-team finally.(one with a womanizing Gambit in it too since they have great chemistry!)

I never liked the hinted relationship with Storm so all it's just as boring as her and Panther. They are all too much alike (uptight!)Opposites attract I guess that's why the deathbird thing worked-
Do the only black people in Marvel Universe have to date? Personally i like him with Sage and wished they showed more of her interactions with him. Sage is also a great underused character. The only time I've seen any semblance of a personality is with Bishop. He obviously knows what makes her tick.
Somehow I hope she pops up with the Hellfire plotline in astonishing...

1. Is she a mutant?- Not from what we see of her. She uses some gadgets like a jet pack to fly and guns.
2. Has she manifested any shiar characteristics other than her eye tatoo?-She may have some kind of enhanced body because of her Sh'ar-ness but its never stated.
3. Do any of the Shiar have powers? (especially members of the Royal Family)ie.-Ummm. I think they just have enhanced strength and endurance. The Imperial Guard have powers.
4. Can they fly or not?- I dont think so, unless they have a powers.

how much do we have to scream to get Aaliyah in the mainstream marvel universe???

Pretty cool pic, she reminds me of N'bushe Wright from 'Blade I'

we don't need anymore future alternate reality characters running around in the 616, thank you.

What's up with Claremont anyway?.... Does he not feel passionate enough to continue on this character/story, and write her into the current X-books? Hell, that's how we got Bishop. Maybe she can travel back into the past like her old man.... I mean, if they can do it with Cable, then why can't they do the same with her.

Before i go on my rant, let me just say that i love Chris's work, even the newer stuff that the fans are *****ing about. That being said, why should he go out of his way and develope this new character, that has nothing to do with any book that he will be working on, when he hasn't done much to develope any of the other characters that he's created and worked with for much of the past 30 years.

simple. All he has to do is hand the character over to a writer whos more interested. Look Danny, I always felt left out because I didnt care much for that complex Madeline Pryor/Sumers offspring storyline. The concept sells itself, you have a character with no published powers as of yet, but shes the the child of Bishop and DeathBird second to the Shiar throne!!! Say her ship hits a dimensional rift, she enters into the 616 universe, meets her daddy, but yet Deathbird finds out and it becomes a power struggle. Id love to read that. Yea the 616 maybe rife with alot of bad characters, but this one is decent enough to develop. All she needs is an angle and a power. And if the writers are sick of her, she can always hop on her spaceship and go back to her own universe.

btw where the heck did they get 616?? What does that mean????

That a part of my point... If he's not that interested in developing characters, then why was he so interested in killing off some of them? And it's not necessarily going out of his way.... IT'S... HIS... JOB!! He get's paid to perform a creative service, just like an artist illustrates a book. They are paid for their creative talent to uphold the products name and help increase sales of the client's product.

And if you're saying that it's going out of the way for some of these writers, then why come up with these new characters if they're just going to shelve them later on in the first place? That's just like when they created all of those characters for X-Factor (I think that was the title), with Zeigheist, Dead Girl, Plazma, Doop, and the rest. By the time you got to know the team, they killed them off. So what was the point of all that?

616 refers to the main Marvel Universe. Someone will correct me if i am wrong, but it basically refers to this Universes Capt. Britian. who is Captain Britian of Universe 616 or the main Marvel Universe.

what do you find complicated about Cable's storyline. His mother was a clone of Jean Grey, she and Scott married, had Nathan. Mother goes psycho, tries to kill son, X-Men save the day. Nathan gets sick via Poccy, gets sent to the future with his alternate reality step-sister, and after growing up in the future returns to the past to save the world from its future.
